What I find funny is not the idea of the existance of God.
But I must admit...the "proofs" mentioned and peoples' concepts of God are quite amusing.

Why are you asking us? You made the statement you tell us. Its not really a question its something youve observed. I dont see it funny nowadays as you put it and what in the olden days it wasnt funny? Enlighten us all please..........So I dont get busted for not answering I dont find Him funny now. Because most of the people I have met who believe in God are hypocrites and only believe in certain parts of the bible when they want it to. A lot of time people don't follow the bible 100%. Plus people anymore are really quick to judge other people and tell them that they are going to hell, when that person has no place to tell another person that. Because according to the bible God is the only one who can judge.

Not so much God , it is the perverse and obscene God that so many people are determined to believe in that is so ridiculous.
Of course, you could choose reality instead.

it's not necessarily.
but when dealing with people who cling to archaic guess-work and the perceptions of ancient and clueless people at the expense of using brain cells, you have to laugh or pity, and laughter is healthier.
