Well if God was doing anything you are suggesting then that alone proves that Occam's razor is useless.

I should think God was pretty pissed off really that a friar (of all people) should come up with a principle that made him irrelevant.

I dunno.. I could say there were several instances where he used Occam's razor. Things like "I'm God, that's all there is to it." that's a pretty darned simple explanation if you ask me.. ;)
