What all symptoms can happen if you have astigmatism? I have been having lots of problems with my eyes. I have glasses but can't wear them. I have tried for three years to adapt and I can't. My eyes have been going blurry and they are red and swollen a lot. Also when I am doing my hair and looking upward a lot my eyes feel like they get strained. Also, my eyes seem to jump sometimes. Are all these signs of astigmatism. Can't get to the doc right now but am really worried.

Astigmatism is not a bad thing that causes problems with vision or any of the symptoms you are currently describbing..
Most people have almost perfect round eye balls...Astigmatism mean that even though the front of the eye appears to be round the back of the eye istead of being round is shapped more like a football...and that is Astigmatism..wich means you can't wear normal contact lenses because you eye is not perfectly round..

While it may be simple astigmatism (blurry vision both near and far), this sounds like it might be more. Particularly the jumping.

Go see an eye doctor. Not one of those people that works in a glasses store, but an actual doctor.

If you are really having difficulty with your eyes and your glasses prescription is not working for you, your best bet is to make an appointment with an optometrist or opthalmologist (medical dr who is licensed to perform eye surgery if needed) to examine your eyes. Perhaps you can see a different eye dr than you did a few years ago since you haven't seemed to find that prescription that helpful. You might need the script for your eyes upgraded. So please do take the time for yourself and for the health of your eyes and vision and whole being (eye dr's can tell a lot about a person's health thru examination), and see an eye dr. Please take good care.

The blurry vision and have a hard time focusing.Red and swollen eyes are allergies due to something else also your eyes do age believe it or not so your best bet is to see a doctor because every few years our eyes change. And if you have problem w/ glasses try contacts. The strain on your eyes is no good.
