I think it will not help you get over your ex unless you have feelings for you mate.
but hey you could just sleep with your mate for the fun of it. I think it may complicate things even more, dont you?

I would recommend you don't sleep with someone else to get over your ex. It never works! Been there, done that. It'll only evoke more feelings believe it or not. You think your getting over them by sleeping with somebody else but really, despite attempts it does nothing. It may for a little while, but it'll come back to haunt you. Naturally it will take time for you to get over your ex. esp if you two were together for some time. It's best to move on in more healthy ways. Try going out more with friends or doing more activites to get your mind off her.

Depends on how much you value the friendship. If you think sleeping with someone would help, then why with a mate? If it doesn't work you still won't be over your ex and you've also lost a mate.

Not really, but it feels good at the time. To get over a ex, you really have to keep yourself busy ie. working, going out with friends etc. Delete their number out of your phone or change the name to something funny so if you see them call it will make it easier for you to not answer.
Sometimes 1 night stands help take the edge off (but I'm not promoting 1 night stands!) Just remember to protect yourself

It won't help how you feel, and you could end up losing your mate. Get out and enjoy yourself with your mates....you will get over your ex in time...that special person is still out there waiting to meet you. I wish you all the best! :o)

No...it doesn't help. It only makes things worse. Give your heart time to heal...it takes time. You have experienced a loss...like a death, and you will have to go through the valley before you can go back up the mountain.
