Your child shoudl be the most important factor in you not leaving. I have takne off like tha tbeofre too, but was single and had not children. You can get divorced if your wife is so hard to deal with, but dont let your son pay for this. I grew up wiith my father far away and this is somehtign tha ti regret deeply. You need to think of him as well. Best of luck, things will get better.

No I haven't but I have felt like doing so a few times. My problem would be that my sons would get a blood hound after me and they'd find me anyway. I really believe that when I had my last surgery that they had the doctors to plant a tracking device in me! They always find me, even if I'm just at the local store.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking here. But, yes, I have took off and left before without telling others it was for good. In fact I had to walk away from a large circle of friends at one point in my life, I did so without a word.

In 2005, I gave myself 2 weeks to prepare, told my mother and my roomate, and packed all my belongings and drove 900 miles down south and stayed there for a year.

I also still often have thoughts of randomly leaving from time to time and have come very close to doing so.

Yes, many times unfornately. And I found out you can't run from your problems. They just follow you and usually end up getting worse. A road trip every once in a while is fun though, especially with a close friend.
