Mmmm, dryland fish. I love those. Depends on where you go in Tennessee. If you're going to East Tennessee contact these guys:

US Forestry Service 423-253-2212 for South Cherokee National Forest (Agent Bryan Webb)

US Forestry Service 423-735-1500 for North Cherokee National Forest (Agent Kim Coleman)

They may require the purchase of a permit; I can't verify this.

Land Between the Lakes in Southwestern Kentucky, situated between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley! My cousin moved close to that area from Indiana and feels that Kentuckians must not know what mushrooms are due to no one in the woods and mushrooms everywhere.

Check with the DNR for national forrests or state game areas. Those are open for public use.

Look for damp shaded areas near fallen decomposing trees
