Wash it with antibacterial soap a couple times a day. Never clean it with anything with alcohol in it. This will actually dry it and damage the skin. Keep your clothes away from it so it doesn't rip or get too irritated. And keep your hands away from it. This could spread bacteria onto it. Good luck! Oh, also put PolySporin and a bandage over it.

Piercing your self is never a good idea!!!

It's perfectly normal for it to be a little swollen and red. It's also normal to bleed some and for it to drain clear liquid and be crusty...

still, it could be infected. The best thing to do is to go to the nearest body piercing place and have them take a look. Don't ever take out a piercing if it gets infected because the hole will close from the outside in...and if there's still infection in it there will be no way to get it out and it can spread. If you go to the doctor, they will just advise you to remove it!!!

If you're cleaning it with piercing solution or salt water, clean it about 4 times a day...if you're using alcohol, hand sanitizer, bactine or antibacterial soap, only clean it twice a day to allow it to heal!!!

Most will say not to use alcohol, but it's perfectly fine as long as you only do it once or twice a day! I use hand sanitizer to clean my conch...I've found that this works best because it's not just alcohol and the saline solution tends to irritate my skin!

Take out the earring, and leave it out for a couple of days.
Cleanse the area with peroxide 2-3 times a day. If after
two days it hasn't stopped bleeding, see a dermatologist.

You pierced your belly button yourself?? It is red and puffy and has bled some and your asking if this is OK. Good grief, it is obviously infected. Get that ring out now.

No.... it's not ok. It's probably infected.

You should have a doctor look at it, because you might need antibiotics to clear the infection up.
