Try taking Bcomplex vitamins.
If you find that your mood worsens according to your cycle then take Bcomplex along with Evening Primrose Oil.
I was in a bad mood all the time, too. Then I started taking Relacore (it has alot of B in it)....it didn't help with the belly fat as it claims....but, it did give me an attitude adjustment. I still take Relacore and call it my happy pill! I also do the Bcomplex and Eve Primrose a week before I am to start my period.

Those pills are NOT going to make you happy. No pill will. So why don't you get some help? And I mean counseling. It is the ONLY way to get out of Crabbyville. You can try all the pills out there and the depression and anxiety is still going to be with you. Because nothing has changed. Till you can get into counseling, see if you can take a break. Get someone to watch the kids. If you have a significant other--take a weekend together. If not, go with a friend or too. Sometimes you need to step back and have a break so you can reprioritize and breathe.

I am not familiar with any side effects for Zoloft, but I do take Klonopin for panic attacks, and an antidepressant, myself. I sometimes feel quite crabby too--particularly when it is too hot, too cold, or raining outdoors.
These meds aren't 'happy pills', they are supposed to relieve one's anxiety and depression. Have you been taking each for at least one month? It normally takes around a month for any of these meds to fully get into your system.
If you have been taking them for a while, I would call the doctor who prescribed them and ask for a new appointment. Perhaps you need a new doseage, or a change in meds.
Good luck with this.

Zoloft has a pretty bad reputation for keeping people down in the dumps instead of helping them out of depression and klonopin is addictive. Not that I am trying to add to your worries or anything but there are so many other things out there that are less addictive and have a higher stability rate. What were you diagnosed with if you don't mind my asking? It would help to know so that we could point you in a right direction for your condition and give you things to ask your doctor about. If you want, you can email me and I would be happy to talk to you about this off the board. i_luv_opossums@yahoo.com

Have you told your doctor about this? You may need a different medicine.
Here is another thing: Thought is as much a matter of habit as anything else. If you practice thinking good thoughts, you will start feeling better. I don't know that it will work for you, but it can't hurt.
Another thing to try is exercise: That will rev your body up and encourage it to create endorphins ('feel-good' hormones). And you will feel a bit more energized.
Also, try to eat a good balanced diet, drink plenty of water, and get sunshine. Some forms of depression are actually related to the ammount of sunshine one gets. That's why it occurs more often in the winter than any other time of the year.
Good luck!

Apart from checking with doctor over medication review, some natural supplements as suggested earlier may be of great benefit (check they dont interferre with meds with GP).
Also sweetie try to think of what some of the triggers to the bad mood are, what may be the underlying issues.
Hope it improves soon, good luck.

In my humble opinion your reaction is the "natural" reaction to the complexities of the world around you... Those who are "happy" are the ones who either do not or refuse to "see" the "true" difficulties of our world ("reality")... Those who "see" the "truth" and react in a natural manner usually improperly are labeled as somehow being substandard. Actually, those who lie to themselves have the real "problem." In then end, to be happy you have to learn to tell yourself, and accept, little "white" lies... I've yet to figure out how to do this....I live for the "truth.".... But I am obviously not alone. Good luck. (P.S. I too want to be happy mostly for the kids)...

You are upset because subconsciously you recognize that if Bush is kidnapped, and Cheney has a heart attack...then Nancy Pelosi will lead our nation.
Your reaction is normal.
