We don't want it to sound like an "Escort Service" !

And we want to meet other women as well as guys just make new friends.

It isn't all about looking for a serious, romantic relationship, ya know?

We'd like to advertise it as a social club but don't know how to word it to convey the right message.

Uh...a name would be nice also...
Like Weekenders---Meet & Mingle---but better.
Thanks...Kathleen

Check out www.myspace.com You can search for singles in your area by age, race, religion, orientation... and its alot of fun. I met over 50 girls last year and Im really good friends with almost all of them now. Its been alot of fun.

First you need to have a place to get together - talk to your local community to see if they have a room to fit say 25-50 people. Sometimes the local library has "meeting" rooms also. Next you need to print fliers and hand them out at the grocery store, convenience store, any public place that you can. You should decide what kind of food you will serve and if you will have a certain agenda, like pizza night, or movie night (where you would view a movie) and you could discuss it afterwards, or celebrate a certain holiday (St. Patty's day is coming up). Whoever got the idea in the first place should kinda be the "spokesperson" in the beginning. You could contact a local athletic club and see if you could rent it and have a volleyball tournament with your members once up and running. There are all kinds of things you can do as a club, there is power in numbers. You could make it a civic group which would volunteer to help the community (community clean up day, helping the elderly with snow removal, leaf removal, etc). You could volunteer at the local hospital, hospital, animal shelter, nursing home, library. And of course you can advertise on the internet and in the newspaper. some towns have local papers which are very inexpensive to place an ad in. Some towns even sponsor groups like this to get started. Good luck and God Bless.
