I've done the same thing in the past. It took me 6 days to go and see a doctor as it was so inflamed. The test came back positive for MRSA and I was very ill for quite some time! You don't have to talk to them about everything if you don't want. You are in control. They cannot treat you any different to other patients and you will be saving yourself some potentially serious and life threatening problems. You need it cleaned out and bandaged - it's probably too late to stitch it now. You DO need to see a doctor, and the sooner the better. Feeling weak from this is a sure sign that you need medical attention. Go to A&E. Take care of yourself. x

i think you should really see a doctor, i know everybody is saying that right? but you dont have to tell them how you did it (again as people have said) but you dont want to have a really bad infection, its very easy for people to say why are you doing this etc but you have your reasons im sure. Please talk to somebody you trust or one of us on here and together we can help you through ok? Go and see the doc, really you have to. Be safe and take care x

I notice everyone is saying do not tell the doctors how you did it but please do, you need help they may be able to give you some advice about the self harming. Have you any parents or grandparents that you can confide in or even a big sister/brother. Please get some help, you must be very unhappy to do that to yourself, things cannot be that bad. Please, please seek help before it is too late, keep in touch with us we are here for you.

What you discribe as feeling "weak" is a sign of blood loss and with them your nutrition goes out as well...

off we go to hospital, right now please. You don' have to tell them you did it, just get the damn thing taped or stitched before you get some lovely super bug straight into a major vein and lose a limb. That will get you some attention won't it?

If you did it on purpose you need some serious help before you kill yourself. See a doctor.

Sweetie, this isn`t right, go and see someone before you get worse. If you feel you can`t go and see someone take a look at this website, and give them a call it might help http://www.mind.org.uk/Information/Booklets/Understanding/Understanding+self-harm.htm

Take care
