My 14 year old son wants to legally change his name from Karl to "Cash-Money God". I don't understand the meaning behind it, we are well off but still. I understand why, I changed my name a few years ago to Super-King but thats awesome and bada s s. And his older brother changed his name to Max Overdrive which ic pretty good. Should I let him do as he wants?

Your son is 14 and reguardless of what you changed your name to or your older son changed his name to, your word is still the law in your home. Personaly I dont care for the name that he has chosen, but it is his right to be called whatever it is he wishes to be called when he is old enough. Since you are responsible for him until he reaches the age of 18 you have the right to tell him that his name is Karl end of story. Once he is old enough to legaly change his name on his own he can do what he wants. If your children ask you to let them do something that is beyond reason or that you do not agree with then you can say no. If you tell him no then maybe this will help him remember that he is still a child and needs to respect your wishes. Good luck
