she broke up with me in September 2005. We were in sporadic contact last year--roughly three or four times only--and she didn't even call to wish 'happy new year'. Last weekend, she calls me Sunday morning to ask whether I could buy her a present I bought her almost two years ago; she liked it very much, and it was broken.
I couldn't remember where I bought it, so I apologised and we bid goodbye.
Now, why would my ex want me to buy her a present I bought her during our relationship, especially when she has a boyfriend?!! Is she just daft, or does she have an agenda, maybe some yearning for a renewal (which I do not want!)

If she called you just to ask you for a gift, I would say that she is trying to use you. Get a clue. If someone calls you up that you haven't talked to for almost a year, why makes her think you would buy her anything! It wouldn't matter what her agenda was because I totally would be over her if I were you.

Two possible solutions to your question:
She wants you back, but she is a moron and don’t know how to actually ask you nicely (instead of asking for a present that broke).
Or, she is just using you to see if you can replace her broken gift because she probably can’t find it anywhere so you are the one who should know where you bough it.
I wouldn’t do anything else with her. I don’t like either case… LOL

i don't think she wants you back she just wants you to buy stuff for her i think she is either nuts, greedy or using you for free stuff. what a joke to call you out of the blue and ask you this.
