No, even the suggestion is an insult to animals.
Animals live in ever balancing inter relationship.
We do not.
Animals do not take more then they need.
We do.
Animals are each an integral part of what makes the entire whole.
We are not.
Could we share accordingly, not just according to shares?
Could we be industrious indigenously?
Yes.
Do we show by our ways and means that we do?
No.
Humans as a general rule deem ourselves above and beyond all else.
We are not.
Those who think we are above animals and the well being of all of the rest that surrounds us have only aspired to such lofty heights.
We are the only species that fails to determine how we are of any benefit to lifes harmonizing existance.
Who we say we are or what questions we ask or faiths we follow do not reflect worth.
What we do does.

On this planet you have animal, vegetable and mineral. We are creatures of Earth - we are animals.
I have a brother-in-law who has the "we are not animals" thing - in fact that is why he is against the evolution theory. "If you teach kids that they are descended from animals you are giving them license to act like animals and that is where all the crime comes from" he said once.
Personally I think there are other animals on this planet that are a lot more "civilized" than some humans in their behavior and morals.
