I have often wondered why the cabbage soup diet is more publicized. I have used it several times. I find it very useful for easing me into a diet. Be sure to use lots of colorful veggies...tomatoes,red&green peppers, red&green onions. I use low fat chicken broth for a base. Go easy on salt. Ms. Dash is better. You can lose an easy 7-10 lbs and still feel great with lots of energy. Go for it. Good luck.

It works because the cabbage diet is what doctors recommend for rapid weight loss for patients who are about to get into surgery and need to loose some pounds (at least in Puerto Rico). I did it and lost 15 pounds in a week. My aunt lost 18. However this was with no salts or condiments, just the vegetables. But the taste is not good at all and it stinks! I also did it to jump start on weight loss and never started an exercise routine so gained it back. It works, you just have to make sure you don't get it back.

All that happens when you do the cabbage soup diet is you loose water weight. You will experience light headedness, headaches, and you will be hungry all the time. This is a diet that was designed for heart patients who couldn't exercise and needed to loose weight in a hurry so they could have surgery.

My friend did this and it caused a lot of stomach cramping and it stinks, but it does work. Just don't stay on it too long.

Sounds like it would work, but prepare for a lot of farting.

Please tell me what city you will be in so I can move.

Also, your kidney stones may act up so prepare for some of the worst pain in your life if you're predisposed to them!
