Before you start any type of diet, however, you need to go to a physician first. The doctor will tell you if your weight loss plan is appropriate for your health condition. Furthermore, the physician will also assist you in determining if you really need to lose weight and how much weight you need to shed. Many people develop eating disorders because they do not visit a doctor before drastically changing their eating habits and starting a diet plan.
If you want to lose weight fast, healthy and permanently, you need to follow the tips below.
Maintain a balanced diet
Increase servings of fruit and vegetables
Stay away from junk food and sugar-loaded drinks
Don't skip breakfast
Start exercising

I have never been on a fad diet, but I have been very successful with keeping a food journal and counting calories. It works like this... you take your current weight and multiply it by 14. This is the amount of calories per day you can consume without any loss or gain. If you want to lose 1 lb. a week, you need to get rid of 3,500 calories over a 7 day period. I have found it pretty easy to cut out 500 calories a day for that 1 lb. loss. Anything more feels like deprivation. As for counting calories, it's not hard at all. Just get a calorie counter book, a notebook and a pen. You'll easily begin to get the hang of it and know how many calories are in something without even referring to the book, because we all pretty much eat the same stuff most of the time. The journal also has the advantage of showing how well or how poorly you're doing on nutrition. If you want to lose more than a pound a week, then burn off some extra calories by exercising.

I lost over 60 lbs on the Wieght Watchers Online program in about 9 months. I wasn't really trying that hard, so I bet you can do 20lbs in about 2 months if you wanted. It's not expensive, there are no meetings to attend, and you don't have to buy any special food.

I lost about 100 pounds on the Weight Watchers online diet...it's a very reasonable system, it puts you on a balanced diet without overly-restricting any one food, and you don't have to go to meetings. :) Try www.weightwatchers.com.

1. Eat a protein rich breakfast: eggs, bacon, or sausage or ham
2. Mid-morning snack: cucumber slices, celery sticks
3. Lunch: salad: you can add hard boiled egg, chicken, cheese, or ham to it. Don't go overboard on the dressing.
4. Afternoon snack: cheese, ham, a pickle
5. Dinner: chicken breast, small salad, sugar free jello
Drink water, or sugar free drinks
To lose it even faster...do about 30 minutes of exercise like walking or aerobic exercise and I guarantee that if you do these things you will lose about 30 lbs. by June 9th.
