in tourist resorts it is accepted and considered normal.

in more remote areas its frowned upon whether its a turk/brit relationship or a turk/turk relationship because it is against religion. (so i have been told).

In Istanbul, it is acceptable, I think
In other cities, it can seem to be a provocation.
And in Bodrum, I suppose you could do even more than that in public...

In most Islamic countries (incl. Turkey), kissing in public should be avoided....do it in your private home, but not in public. Respect their customs and traditions!!!!
