It is an ancient remedy for many ills, in Europe, the Middle East, India, and Asia.
"Urine therapy (urinotherapy, Amaroli) is a specialized branch of alternative medicine. Any sort of oral or external application of (human) urine for medicinal or cosmetic purposes falls into this category. A practitioner of urine therapy is called a uropath...Promoters of urine therapy believe urine to have many curative powers. Some cultures, especially Indian, have traditionally used urine as a medicine. In Ayurveda its practice is called Amaroli. Urine has been prescribed in India for over 5,000 years for health benefits, as written in the Shivambu Kalpa Vidhi.
There are also accounts of drinking urine to prolong the effects of certain entheogenic experiences. [citation needed] Some psychoactive alkaloids are passed through the body unchanged in urine. [citation needed] The Koryak tribe of Siberia uses the Amanita muscaria mushroom in this way, drinking their urine during long ceremonies. They sometimes concentrate their urine by partially freezing it and ingesting the unfrozen liquid. [citation needed] A theory presented by R. Gordon Wasson states that the Koryak's use of this entheogen is linked to the mythological Soma. [citation needed] Proponents of the mushroom/soma theory believe that Soma in the Vedic rituals was in fact Amanita muscaria.
John Henry Clarke wrote, "man who, for a skin affection, drank in the morning the urine he had passed the night before. The symptoms were severe, consisting of general-dropsy, scanty urine, and excessive weakness. These symptoms I have arranged under Urinum. Urinotherapy is practically as old as man himself. The Chinese (Therapist, x. 329) treat wounds by sprinkling urine on them, and the custom is widespread in the Far East. Taken internally it is believed to stimulate the circulation".[1]
More recently, some medical doctors have cited various urine therapies as being potentially helpful for the treatment of cancer.[citation needed]
Vincent Speckhart, MD, an oncologist and homeopath, testified before a House of Representatives Committee in 1993 regarding the benefits of urea, the largest constituent in urine.
In 1997, Joseph Eldor, MD, of the Theoretical Medicine Institute in Jerusalem, published a paper suggesting that because cancer cells release antigens which appear in the urine, oral autourotherapy could spur the intestinal lymphatic system to produce antibodies against these antigens.[2]" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urine_therapy
"Urine therapy - the drinking and external application of one's own urine as a healing agent - is an ancient Eastern tradition, claimed by devotees to be the oldest of natural remedies. A former prime minister of India, Morarji Desai, drank a glassful of his own urine every day - and lived to reach his century!
Today, an increasing number of doctors, health practitioners and journalists are endorsing urine therapy as an effective do-it-yourself home treatment. Drinking one's own urine, also called uropathy, appears to stimulate the immune system and has been able to cure seemingly incurable disease states. Urine contains compounds that are very specific to the individual from which it comes. It is antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antineoplastic, anticonvulsive, and antispasmodic. It is totally non-toxic." http://www.digitalnaturopath.com/treat/T45177.html
"In India, urine therapy is called "shivambu": "Had our shivambu rishi (sage), great devotee, propagator and mighty supporter of shivambu movement, centenarian former Prime Minister of India, respected (late) Morarji Desai not boldly and emphatically declared before the world that lie drank his own urine regularly and that was the secret of his longevity and exuberant health, the most valuable and beneficial information that is being given to you through this booklet, which can prove to be a boon to our poor country and which is capable of curing a host of diseases ranging from common cold to cancer and arthritis to AIDS, would have remained hidden in some unknown quarters and the entire mankind would have been deprived of shivambu. Really speaking, late Shri Morarjlbhai by his frank and honest declaration has accorded world recognition, glory and greatness to this free yet priceless therapy otherwise considered to be nauseating. The whole world shall ever remain indebted to him for rendering this great humanitarian service. " G.K.Thakkar"
""For almost the entire course of the 20th century, unknown to the public, doctors and medical researchers have been proving in both laboratory and clinical testing that our own urine is an enormous source of vital nutrients, vitamins, hormones, enzymes and critical antibodies that cannot be duplicated or derived from any other source. They use urine for healing cancer, heart disease, allergies, auto-immune diseases, diabetes, asthma, infertility, infections, wounds and on and on -- yet we're taught that urine is a toxic waste product. This discrepancy between the medical truth and the public information regarding urine is ludicrous and, as the news releases you've just read demonstrate, can mean the difference between life and death to you and to your loved ones." "Yep, urine for a surprise Dorothy, and no we're not in Kansas anymore.
Urine therapy can be a very effective healing modality. Sometimes when all else fails, urine therapy will turn a person around... Don't take this therapy lightly. Multiple sclerosis, colitis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, hepatitis, hyperactivity, pancreatic insufficiency, psoriasis, eczema, diabetes, herpes, mononucleosis, adrenal failure, allergies and so many other ailments have been said to be relieved through use of this therapy. After you overcome your initial gag response (I know I had one), you may realize that there might just be something to this and if you are searching for health, this is an area to investigate. There are numerous reports and double blind studies which go back to the turn of the century supporting the efficacy of using urine for health" http://biomedx.com/urine/

While at first this may sound like a gross, inapropriate question, there is actually some validity to it, so give the questioner a break!
First, urine is sterile when it firsts come out of the body. This is a known fact...Thus it can be used in emergencies to treat wounds and such. View the wikipedia article:

The US military has actually made food for the army which can be rehydrated using urine!! HOWEVER, the meal comes with a pouch that filters out most toxins...And it doesn't filter out Urea, which can cause kidney damage...read this article:

So to answer your question, don't drink your urine! But in case of emergency, if you need sterile fluids for some reason you can use urine....however, it must be fresh....
