This starts friday and they are killing strays and pets, it is outrageous and disgusting.

China (and other countries) do not put the same significance on animals, especially pets, as we do. Animals to them are just animals...a source of food, clothing, and labor. I don't agree with their customs, but it is not my place to tell them how to run their country. If they were to vaccinate the dogs against rabies, that's not to say they wouldn't develop other diseases. Also, rabies shots need to be repeated every 3-5 years in adult dogs. You're right...I don't think the answer is clubbing them to death, either. Yes, I agree something should be done about the dogs, but that is not necessarily it. I think there should be an instituted pet health care system....but again, I don't know the whole story. China suffers from major overpopulation and is probably more concerned with those people than homeless dogs. When you're in a powerful position, every decision you make offends someone. It's all about compromise. But you know what? The people assigned to do the killing of these dogs.....they'll never forget being ordered to do that....almost every major religion believes in some sort of "consequence" for immoral actions performed during life. I'm betting that will haunt at least some of them for the rest of their lives.

That's because they'd rather spend money building up thier military
China has a horrible human and animal rights record. On the animal side, to beat dogs to death, in forced executions in entire cities, and they skin dogs, cats, and other animals alive for thier fur, is despicable. And on the human rights side, everything from Tibet, to Tinemmean square, or however it's spelled, is just outrageous. I know the people over there have a different moral structure, and the tree hugging hippies tell me that I shouldnt condemn a country for the way they are, but it plain just pisses me off. If they want to be the same way they are, I say we sever trade relations with them. Just because they have a different culture doesnt mean we have to do business with them. And if they get mad and start threatening us, like the chinese try and do, NUKE THE COUNTRY!

China is another country with a different culture and a different economic make up.
Although it sound horrific to us, it is NOT ours to judge, this is not a human rights issue. It is bad enough we have let genocide of humans go unnoticed in other countries from time to time. And it is also bad that Denver is going door to door and confiscating Pit bulls and Pit Bull mixes and killing them, even if they are gentle and have good temperaments. So Denver is no better and in fact may be worse, as those dogs don't create a health risk.

Because they do not hold the regard towards dogs as we do.
Nor are willing to spend the money on dogs for the vaccination to stop the outbreak of rabies.

Dogs are not viewed the same way in oriental countries as in America. Often, losing dogs are eaten after a staged dogfight; there are differing levels of sensitivity and varying methods of entertainment wherever you travel. Suck it up.

yes its disgusting mate. but the main reason is that giving the dogs "shots" to make them "sleep" is very expensive. beating them to death is the nastiest way, but the cheapest. what can we have here are hard sanctions for the people who have dogs but cannot take care of them. let them be beaten to death not the dogs

and they say chinese and japanese people are so intelligent. some of the stuff i have read and seen im starting to wonder. these people have game shows where they eat each others vomit or get vomited on so they can GUESS what the other person ate. and they eat each others poop or just poop on each other. SICK!!!!! im not suprised they beat animals to death or skin them alive and eat them. get on PETA and mostly the gross stuff is done by them.

china doesn´t believe in protecting or a humane treatment in animals...i mean they´re heartless and inhumane people....they even skin dogs alive and tear their skin off to sell them in as fur!!many jacket hoods have it
