Sadly there is a lot of slavery going on in the world today.
Trafficking women for sex comes to light every so often but the main slavery is in the countries the original slaves came from. The difference is that it is their own kind who are doing it now!
The only time we really hear any sort of talk against slavery is those that keep harking back to slavery in history and berating the whites for it. But the whites saw sense and justice and put a stop to slavery.
I think it is time for the coloured races to do the same now!!!
Slavery can never be right and therefore whatever the religion, deity or belief system it would not be acceptable.

I do not approve slavery. Each individual is unique in this universe and has to perform certain task assigned to him by the God. No religion and God approves slavery. There is God in every one so how one individual can be slave of other. All are master of their own destiny. Jesus Christ also does not approve slavery. Slavery of anybody is sin.

Pull a WWJD (what would Jesus do) on this one. Would Jesus approve of slavery? No. Jesus would approve of servantude, where we are servants to our friends and neighbors (being there for them, supporting them, not neccesarily physically serving them, or being a servant in the employment sense). Jesus was a servant when he washed the feet of his Disciples. He would want us to do the same when in leadership positions. Be a servant leader, as he was.

Does God?-I've read the verses where he commands it.
Does Jesus?I heard that he's not part of it but uses it in his parables.
