Eleven illegal immigrants were "let go" by state patrol officers on I-40 in North Carolina, because there weren't enough officers to process them AND they had no avail. facilities to hold them!! So, the troopers were told to let them go! The immigrants even admitted to the troopers that they were here in The US illegally, but this made no difference. They were still allowed to pile back in their van, and drive off!

its not just law enforcement, it is the average American that is helping the Illegals. If you shop at walmart, home depot, McDonald, and just about any food service you are helping them. They are in the kitchens cooking for you! Yes even Applebees!
I am sure you have noticed that most businesses put their signs up in both english and spanish. Grocery stores have special shelves just for them.
I am starting to see more and more things on TV where spanish is in the ads. Even the news channels are catering to the illegals, banks making loans to them.
Maybe think about where you shop and where you eat, ask them if they have illegals in the back, even better go back there and you will see that they cant even speak english!
You and I are paying for those signs every time we buy from them.
Look at the bottom of this page and you will see An American flag with en Espanol beside it. You are being brain washed to accept our country being invaded, or being forced to accept it. Just watch my answer go away!
Think about not shopping with businesses that cater and hire them, call your reps in Washington, tell them how outraged you are about them giving our country away!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I know you know the answer to this and are just making a point... I agree with you btw.

I live in NC and we have a bad situation here right now in that there has been such an expedient influx of illegals that our law enforcement can't handle it.

Here is an example, I live on an island that can only be gotten to by ferry or boat. Last month, 26 illegals were detained on the ferry as they were coming over to do construction labor. Get this... at the end of the day, the police let them go because INS (or whatever the dept is called now) never showed up.

Maybe we should get like 100 ppl and rob a bank. Do you think they might let us go because there aren't enough available jail cells....

It's ridiculous. If I go out and steal a piece of gum, I'm going to jail. They break the law and get sent on their way.

It is insane that thing like this happen. That makes it easier for other illegals to just have go and see where it ends.
The government should make this a serious issue, but they are more concerned with the citizens in Iraq than there own citizens.

I see I am not the only one that seen that on news!..I thought to myself ..my god if that was me and driving illegal they would not hesitate to lock me up ..me and b/f sat here and laughed...not it was funny funny but how screwed up our America is and how "barney fif" looked so stupid cause he couldnt give a real good excuse to why they didnt arrest them ....was wondering why the sheriff wasnt the one on there to explain why they let 11 illegals go but guess he didnt want to be the one looking like a fool so he left it up to one of his deputies that didnt have a clue..I thought it was illegal too but guess our so called government is showing its true colors on how currupt it is ...its a shame ..illegals r over here getting by with so much crime

No illegal immigration is still a crime, and more of us need to wake up to it. I don't live in North Carolina, but if I did I'd be outside of that police station picketing. What they are suppose to do is detain the illegals until ICE can get there.

Ya...it's still a crime as well as alot of other things they do on a daily basis that gets ignored. The only "reform" needed is more employees to the job that they should have had all along and we wouldn't be in this mess.

Illegal immigration is a crime until we change our immigration laws. What we have to do is fire these incompetence Officers for not keeping up with our laws. It a shame that this is happening and the government don't do nothing to fix it.

OF COURSE IT IS A CRIME TO BE AN ILLEGAL ALIEN! Please stop the "illegal immigration" crap. "Immigrants" are here LEGALLY. There is no such thing as an "illegal immigrant!"

As for your comment about the "catch and release" program - that's part of the lack of enforcement of our laws that MUST change!

Illegals usually commit crime after crime are not punished until they end up killing someone. They seem to have more rights than legal citizens.

Blame our leaders for dead residents

Somewhere in the world, there is a 3-year-old girl named Maya who will grow up without a father.

For this, I blame Sen. Jon Kyl and Rep. Ed Pastor and all our so-called
leaders in Congress who have steadfastly refused to fix that standing joke
we call federal immigration law.

Maya's father, Micheal Boulden, was chief of staff for the ASU Foundation
until last month, when he died while on a Sunday morning bike ride.
Meanwhile, Robert Chris Miller was killed early Sunday when a
drunken-driving suspect ran a red light in Peoria. He was just 20 years old.

For this, I blame President Bush and Gov. Janet Napolitano and governors who
steadfastly refuse to allow the National Guard at the border to actually
guard the border.

These people have blood on their hands. The blood of Jason Okon, an Iraq war
veteran who, police say, was stabbed on Feb. 2 by an undocumented immigrant
living in his neighborhood. The blood of Laurie Lynn Lorenzen, a Gilbert
mother who, police say, was killed Feb. 2 by an undocumented immigrant who
ran a red light while fleeing police. And now, the blood of Micheal Boulden
and Robert Miller.

Boulden, 37, was riding his bike on the shoulder of Pinnacle Peak Road near
42nd Street just before 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 18 when he was hit from behind.
The driver didn't even slow down.

Last week, Phoenix police arrested Yesenia Angulo-Gastelum, 26, who is here
illegally. She and her boyfriend were headed to work at the Four Seasons
Resort in Scottsdale when she hit Boulden, police said. Angulo-Gastelum
"confessed to the hit and run, saying that she was scared that she was going
to be deported, which is why she did not remain at the scene."

Four Seasons General Manager Tom Kelly said his records show
Angulo-Gastelum, a hostess in one of the restaurants, is a legal resident.
"We take absolute care in making sure that every t is crossed and every i is
dotted because we want to absolutely comply with the law," he assured me.

It wouldn't much matter if he didn't. The Legislature refuses to crack down
on employers who give jobs to people who aren't supposed to be here.
Meanwhile, Immigration and Customs Enforcement does sweeps of jobsites only
when the politicians need a PR boost.

Over in Peoria, Miller was killed just after 2 a.m. Sunday when police say
Jocabed Dominguez-Torres, 22, ran a red light at 75th Avenue and Cholla and
crashed into the car in which Miller was riding. Police believe she was
drunk.

Dominguez-Torres is here illegally and had forged resident and Social
Security cards, according to police. Yet Court Commissioner Kathleen Mead
set her bond at $150,000. This, despite a new voter-enacted law that denies
bail in cases such as this to those here illegally.

It seems she was only following court policy. A spokeswoman for Maricopa
County Superior Court said commissioners cannot deny bond on the say-so of
police or even the suspect. They must get word from an official immigration
source, which is tough given that bail must be set within 24 hours of arrest
and ICE takes weekends off.

But, hey, does it really matter? Since when are voters ever listened to
anyway? It's as if we're afraid to enforce our own immigration laws yet
unwilling to rewrite them.

Maybe someday, somebody can explain it all to a little girl named Maya who I
suspect will want to know why her daddy had to die.

Maybe by the time she's old enough to ask, our leaders, the ones who could
use some compassion and the ones who could use a backbone, will quit
talking, finally, and fix this mess.

the invasion continues supported by Mexican and Central America governments and donations to the US politicians to do nothing...they get rid of their surplus poor...there is only 167 Mexicans or families that own all of Mexico....if the borders stopped immigration, a revolution would happen...Bush doesn't want another Cuba..but his stupidest is causing problems in the US....vote them out and all that don't make a stand
