Muslims do not accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. They say he was a prophet like Muhammad.
Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jhn 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jhn 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Muslims don't believe in Christ as the Messiah.

For the same reason muslims believe america is the GREAT satan.
and im partial to their beliefs in this matter too!
however, I understand that ONLY criminals and anyone who is a liar goes to Hell. I also understand that people who fear god and do works of righteousness are accepted by God, in all nations of the world. at least thats what Peter said in Acts ch.10:34,35
i also understand according to Dante, that there are 9 circles of hell, but from testimonies of many people who have died and gone to hell and come back there are many variations of Hell as witnessed by christians who went there and came back. Just as sure as there is a Paradise and several Levels of heaven and the kingdom of God above all those! Paul said there were 3 heavens, and Solomon or david wrote that there were 7 heavens. Paul also wrote that there are 3 degrees of the resurrection and the mormon church declares that in heaven these three degrees are themselves divided into 3 sections of access to heaven. So depending upon a persons status and the degree of righteousness and worthiness, you gain a higher status in heaven and the kingdom of God according to what level of the resurrection you obtain.
However, unbelievers are "damned" already, as Jesus said when he rebuked the pharisees and the hypotcrites.
Paul later wrote that anyone who believes in "lie" are not saved.
Jesus was the son of God and a prophet, he was the Word of God and is a High priest for all mankind. He became officially the God over this planet as co-creator with His Father in heaven. Muslims and Jews dont believe in the Supremacy of Jesus christ. Nothing in this earth was Not created without Jesus and his legitimate authority.

Most jews wont believe this testimony either or listen to More than 3000 people who witnessed the resurrected jesus after he was crucified.
For all the flaws in religiousity, no one knows the truth perfectly! but satan himself has sown false doctrine and lies into the fabric of society and traditions that people believe "THEY KNOW" are true but only because thats what their teachers and emums say is truth.
the worst sin in Islam according to the Koran is idolatry! So because of fear, many muslims are fearful of being sentenced to death, in order to change old beliefs from false teachings and correct them with the truth. Jews arent afraid of being sentenced to death but they do have a system of REJECTING people, even their own kind, if people dont follow their peers.
Things havent changed for christianity either. There are so many people that KNOW they have the truth, that because of their peer pressure, they wont let their own eyes open and see the truth when it is shown to them. The biggest example of this is the doctrine of the trinity! it is also a false doctrine! but most christians wont believe it is because of traditional theology.
the simple answer is Jesus is Lord, He is part of the godhead and most people dont believe in the godhead.

The Jews and christians in this verse refers to those who followed the teachings of the prophets before Muhammad (sws) to the best of their extent without committing shirk (polytheism). Any christian who says "Jesus is God" is not one of the christians who "believes in Allah and the Last day and does good", for shirk(polytheism) nullifies all of a persons deeds:
Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongÂdoers) there are no helpers. [5:72]
"and whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him and in the hereafter he will be one of the losers. " [3:85]
any jew or christian that knows about Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) and doesnt believe in him will no doubtedly be in the Hellfire as is stated in a hadeeth by sahih muslim.
Christians, with possibly the exclusion of catholics, believe anyone who does not accept the 'death of jesus for sins' will be in Hell, so they apply this to anyone, and everyone who does not fit this description. {according to their twisted pagan logic)

Christians believe that no matter how good you are, or how religious you are, it will never meet the Creator's standard for entering heaven. Christians believe that Christ has atoned for the sins by his death on the cross. I don't claim to understand the Crusades, and if Christians really provoked the animostiy...but it really has to stop- I agree.

If Muslims do not pray to God through Jesus the Christ then that's their buisness. I can PUBH all day long and it wont save anyone.
Why not Zoroastrians? They believe in God.

What send a person to hell is the real question?
Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.
But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.
If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

Have you ever told a lie?

What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

What does that make you?
Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?
Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?
See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?
If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.
Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.
The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

They are taught that it's reserved only for them. If they'd open the bible they would find out that hell is the grave, not an actual place.

Because Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father but through ME." He didn't say that people could get to the Father through Mohammed as well.
