If you know that person is a good person and you just love their personality, but there is no chemistry between you 2.
I think it is better to tell them right away to avoid hurting them later. Well, I did this last night and I felt really bad about it, it broke my heart to know I broke his heart.
Honestly, I am afraid this could kill him (he is severely depressed but he was happier when I was around), we could have been great friends, but he wanted more. I had to do it, it is better than lying to someone.
Would you have done the same thing if you were in such a situation?

He sent me a few messages today, saying he has been crying and stuff...I really think he should get over himself first .

you did the right thing, he will just have to deal with it, it is his problem now, not yours.. you settled your problem when you were honest and up front with him

Be honest with him. It may be hard because obviously he is someone you really like (as a person). ... but chemistry is to a certain extent important.
Even though he seems to be really sad/down/depressed, his ability to move on should not be underestimated and he wouldn't know unless he is in a position to move on. Which probably means telling him that there is no chance of you two being together.
On the other hand, if he really cannot move on... then, think about it girl, would you want to be with someone who is weak?
May be some day you guys can be friends, right now he needs the truth. And that can be the best gift you can give him.
Good luck.

I did the same thing and the guy cried and was all depressed. But I couldn't go on any longer. I was not attracted to him at all. I thought that he was going to kill himself but he is fine now so I wouldn't worry too much and I wouldn't suggest being friends with him either.

I like someone like that right now. He is my best friend. He not like sexy or anything, but he is a lot better than a lot of guys I have seen. When I first met him, (4 years ago..)there was no attraction at all...but now that I know him so well, I have developed an attraction to him. It's kinda like the hot guys get ugly the more you get to know them and the average guys get sexier that more you get to know them.

What you did was right. It's better to tell the truth than to lie. You made a wise decision. Don't feel bad about it. Talk to him in a nice way then explain everything. He would surely understand if he loves you.

Quite the opposite. I could definitely be with someone I'm physically attracted to, but I couldn't be with someone I could potentially fall in love with. That always spells trouble for me.

I could not. I believe you have to have chemistry and physical attraction to make a relationship work.

Absolutely not. You need at least SOME physical attraction, or you'll get over it really fast
