call your towns welfare office. that sounds rude, i know but that's where they can direct you to medicaid or vhap. my state has changed the name to economic services...it use to be called PATH, and before that it was welfare...it's all the same. they handle insurances for single people with no kids too.

Unfortunately there is no insurance that I have heard of yet, there are depending on your income, possibilities that the "welfare" system may be able to tell you about. There is also the ability to go to the ER if necessary.
Not knowing what the reasons you need insurance are - invest a little time to educate yourself on muscles by reading The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies ISBN 1-55224-375-9 it teaches what to do as well as helping you understand your system.
Also making friends at the health food stores is a smart choice.

If push comes to shove, you will need to go to the County Hospital. They take all peeps, insurance or none. Then you will end up paying in accordance with your income.
