At the moment i attend a college that's a ways away from my non-denominational church home. i have tried attending other churches but i'm just not being filled spiritually. i feel as though i'm missing something and my world is falling down around me. everyone wants to convert and do other things that i'm not looking for. does anyone have any suggestions about what i can do on my own to feel more spiritually mellow and fulfilled besides the normal stuff? (i'm something like a christian by the way and only serious answers please)

Just pray and ask the Lord to lead you to someone that attends a non-demonitional church. I like mine as well. Have faith, read your bible and pray. The Lord will show you your way, He always does. God Bless!

Age of adjusting for many that is a serious problem. The it ain't home syndrome. I'm in no way making light of your situation. It is a problem we have all had at some point.
Try a new mind set: This is an exciting time for me--i have an opportunity to meet new people--to visit other churches--to learn to live in a society I'm unaware of but I can learn. When I do return home I can enjoy the old things and be able to communicate new ideas. To the folks back home. Thank you God, for this opportunity.

You have a church, The Spiritual Church of Jesus Christ, you have a teacher, his name is the Holy Ghost, and you have a High Priest his name is Jesus Christ, and you have a Pope His name is God the Father, who is in heaven.. You even have a study book it is called the 4 Gospels.

But I know what that you need physical enteractions with solid people, now you just learned why you are alive here on earth.

You are a part of God. You need not worry that you must attend church. Just set aside time for deep prayer or meditation and open your mind to converse with God. He(she) are always tuned in to your personal feelings as they are connected to you like all the single unique pieces of a puzzle connect to make the whole picture.

There is a book called,"Everyday I Pray",buy Iyanla Vanzant it will spiritually mellow out your mind and body and fill you spiritually. Maybe be a good idea to fast one day and pray for inner peace and for God to guide your foot steps in his direction. It is a book of prayers for awakening to the grace of Inner Communion.

I feel in truth true spirituality is knowing your real self and identifying its true nature. So many ways have been devised the best is meditate on your heart or on your breath and start seeing the whole world as part of your self. This can probably give u the true feeling of spirituality.Spirituality can unattached to any religion.

I guess I would find a place that you feel at peace and then pray and try to attend your regular church as much as possible. You could learn how to meditate..that might help. Good luck.

Talk to your church at home, and see if they have sermons online for you to listen to. I went through the same thing at college, and have found that listening to online sermons, and reading my Bible help.
