Well, there are a lot of benefits if you're choosing to be single. If you're single and don't want to be it's a drag. The best benefit, however, is being free to do what you want to do. You don't have to worry about others and you can come and go at your own pace. You set your own schedule and pretty much do as you please. It gets old after awhile however and if you are alone to long you get to where you can't adjust to having someone around all the time.

Why u want a divorce ?
Or u want to avoid being coupled up with someone ?
To answe this question I think u need to look at both sides then decide for yourself. First of all as a middle aged person I find that it would be better to have partenered up to make my assets stronger and my financial situation better.
Being alone is good, because u can do whatever u want if u want that. Travel; go out where u want.
But being with someone is good too because u can depend on that person to do and be there usually esp in an emergency situation because u never know.
And u have someone to share times with, it really depends on you and what u want now and in the long run.
My experience has been if u take on a partner look to see if you like the same things or at least some of them.
To help your relation grow and last.
Sadly I had a little something and help people out and it wasnt really a friendship even, just a relation with benefits all all one side.
Then when u need a hand their so led by their ego they dont have time to lift a finger for you !! So go in examining both paths whatever you choose with eyes open. Not tooo wide because theirs nothing to be afraid of. Just be aware.
But whatever you do, dont get old alone because you have to deal with that to be open but not desperate,. so things will come to you naturally whatever that may be, and good luck and good life whatever you choose.

As a person in a relationship I definetley think the benefits of being single are many. You don't have to answer to anyone, you don't have to phone him/her every day and waste your credit telling them you'll be back at so and so time etc. You can eat at what time you want, sleep when you want, do what you want when you want. If you want to go on holiday you don't have to worry your parter doesn't have enough money and can just pay for yourself, go with good mates and have a fun time without any arguments (depending on the friends I suppose). As well as this you can watch what you want on tv go on the net without someone nagging you to get off, and if you get lonley you can go over your mates house or out when you want!

1) You aren't accountable for your time...no, where have you been, how long were you there, who were you with, etc.
2) You don't have to account (to someone else) where all the money went...just to yourself. Plus, you don't have to justify where and how you spent your money.
3) You don't have to cook, clean, or accomodate someone else's bad habits....and we ALL have them!
4) You don't have to take anyone else's feelings or opinions into account before making any major decisions.
5) You don't risk being hurt, used, or abused.
6) When bad things happen, you only have yourself to blame....which can be a bad thing, but at least you don't have anyone else contributing to the mess you're in.
7) You get the whole bed to yourself.
8) You don't have to listen to anyone else snore, fart, or burp.
9) If you feel like staying in your jammies all day long on the weekend, you can.
10) You always have control of the remote!!!!

I think you can be free not only when you are single... If you find the right guy, you can be as free as single. Freedom doesent mean that you can get as many guys as you want. Freedom is when you can express yourself, and you are being listened to...
And the benefits of being single??? You can hunt for that right guy.

You can make decisions on your own without consulting someone else. You can come home whenever you want. You can do sparatic things without worrying if someone else is okay with them. You don't have to cook if you don't want to. You don't have to worry about the temperature in the house. Trust me hunny there are several benefits of being single. Enjoy it until you meet someone who is worth sharing your life with, that is if you want that... Good luck and have fun.

Would you like me to write a book?! LOL! Let's see...
You can do whatever you want without being questioned about it, you don't have to always wonder what your man is out doing when he's not with you, you're free to flirt with whoever you want, and just hang out with guys in general without anyone getting jealous about it, don't have to worry about what to get a guy for holidays and birthdays, you can have "me" time whenever you want without catching any flack. You get to waste time doing things you want to do, instead of wasting time on something ending up going nowhere, no more wasting time on a "wonderful" guy who turns out to be a total jerk and loser. Do I need to keep going on here?!
