This girl told me that she didn't need a man because Jesus was all she needed. I think she is brainwashed. What are your thoughts?

If she's that far gone, no decent man is going to want her anyway.

I agree. From a Christian perspective - In Genesis 3:18 God said "It is not good that man be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

Now, at this point Adam was there with God. If God were all we needed, why would God say something like that above? Thus, according to God, having God is not all that is needed (or more specifically, having God only is not good). And if God just meant that Adam needs a friend, then why did he create for him a woman and wife?

Now granted, there are some people who devote themselves to something else so that not having a mate does not bother them. Some give themselves over to their job. Others give themselves over to God. Or to other things. Perhaps she is one of those who truly does not mind being alone.

But it seems that anymore in Christianity people give too much value to God/Jesus and not enough to humanity. They accredit everything to God and nothing good from people. Thus, they blindly believe that Jesus is all they need. But if she goes without food for a day or two...she'll see differently, although she probably won't admit it.

I don't think she is brainwashed. I think she just made a personal choice. I think God puts people in our lives because most of us need physical companionship. If she doesn't, that's cool too.

I think she's right. No man is going to make her as happy as her faith in God and relationship w/ Jesus can. If it's God's will she find a man, then she will find one that has the same beliefs as she. So it doesnt matter if she's brainwashed. She will have a wonderful peaceful fufilled life either way.

It's sad that someone would prefer imaginary love to real love. I guess you don't have to worry about losing imaginary love.

It's also kind of weird. What is a woman really saying when she says that? She is putting romantic love on the same level as love from Jesus, like a "Jesus is my boyfriend" kind of thing.

Any claim that imaginary love is somehow superior to real love between two human beings is ridiculous. It's the kind of thing that someone who isn't receiving the love they need would say.

I think you are immature ...and are having a hard time accepting rejection....

I'm sure I would choose Jesus instead of a Christ hater like you any day.

They took her brain out, rinsed it off, rubbed in some Irish Spring, rinsed off the suds and put her brain back in her head.
