I looked at one of them graphs that tell you whether you are underweight, overweight or obese and apparantly i am OBESE! and my right weight should be between 9 and 12 stone. I dont think thats right i would be too slim. What do you guys think.

Weight is not the only actor to consider.
Some people are very muscular. Muscle weights more than fat, and so will appear in the obese category in the chart!

Also there are many ways to measure adequate weight and seize; the Broca charts, the BMI charts, etc. not all results will yield the same conclusion.

The best thing to do would be to see a nurse or practitioner and hear what they have to say.

Some sensible eating habits and regular cardio exercise will in time get you fit and in YOUR correct weight, in case you really need to lose some. We are all different.

Luck!

Your BMI does show you are around 30 and that for your weight and height you are just in the obese category. Ideally for good health you should lose enough weight to bring you back to the normal range. You would not necessarily be too thin so long as you are losing body fay and replacing it with good lean muscle - just stop when you feel right, but are within the normal range of 18-25, then you will not risk health problems.
I used a diet from A1diet and lost a stone and a half in 6 weeks. Check the link below

Don't know. I'm the same height and I'm 13 and a half stone, and apparently I'm obese too! I'm quite heavily built anyway, but I'm fit too. I would be happy to get to 11 and a half, but ecstatic to be just under 11.
Not going to happen though, been dieting for 13 years now, and all I've done is put it on!
Everyone really differs in size and shape, I wouldn't worry too much about how much you actually weigh. You are better to go by how you feel, you know your body best. I know that as soon as I am too heavy, my knees and back get sore.
Get plenty of exercise and eat a healthy diet. Be comfortable with yourself.
Myself, I would rather be the size I am, happy and healthy than to have an eating disorder.
Good luck

Ok I am 6ft and 9 stone which means I am under weight according to the chart I read I should be at least 10 stone or more. I think its an individual thing. Some people can carry extra weight and look fablous. So if you feel you look the way your are dont worry about.

i dont think those charts are very accurate.

if your unhappy with your weight you should diet sensibly and excersie until YOU feel comfortable. not everyone wants to be boney, i like curves. most men do too

Well I'm 5ft 7'' and I weigh 11 stone but my ideal weight is 9 stone 10. i would imagine that your ideal weight is between 10.5 stone and 11.5 stone? It all depends on your build, I'm medium build.

At 5ft8, you shouldn't weigh more than about 11 stone 10 pounds, but it also depends on your frame size and how much muscle mass you have. You could have your body fat percentage tested to be sure. At 20 years old, your body fat shouldn't be more than 30% (this is not the same as BMI).

you would look good in a size 14. cant say about the weight though. if you are worried go and see your practice nurse and she will tell you from the correct graphs.
