The other song I was thinking about didn't get a good reaction from those that answered my question of whether to use Jimmy Buffett's (Why don't we Get Drunk?) so I have found a song that I have loved for years and thought maybe it would be great for my bridal party to dance to. What does everyone think of the song "Let's Get Married" by Jagged Edge? no suggestions of using "Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks. I love country, but it is over-used so that it is boring now. thanks for all suggestions.

Friends by Michael W. Smith
Lean On Me is a good one to

Friends

words and music by Deborah D. Smith and Michael W. Smith

Packing up the dreams of God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter in your life is through

But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

(CHORUS)

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "never"
Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends.

With the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you'll live in
Is the strength that now you show

But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Hi Stephani ,look it is your wedding. It is all about you and your groom. So if the both of you like that song ....go for it.Too many brides and grooms let others make their choices. I was once in a wedding party and the bride's Mom and matron of honor decided everything. The poor girl was too shy to speak up.So it was awful for her.It has been years since the wedding and she still cringes when she looks at her wedding pictures.
