No, we do not have free will. You cannot have an omniscient God and still have free will.

Free will has nothing to do with god or with heavens.......
Man is condemned to make a choice in every second of his life. Some choices are good for him and some arent. Whether he is fully aware of the consequences of his choices is more important than whether he has free will or not. He may sincerely think that the option he chooses is good for him and for mankind but it may come out the other way around. At such cases he cant be held responsible. The problem is that most of our choices are made in full ignorance of the consequences.

If you decide to "exercise" your "freewill" and go out and shoot someone because they bug you...you will be held accountable for your actions by human law. Why would you think you would not be accountable to God for your actions?
Sorry, but it is when you do not have freewill that you are not responsible...if it is your choice, you are responsible.

Like in school, you can choose to be a good student or a bad one. It is up to you. If you graduate that is another story. You don't go around condeming the school board for your actions do you? God is setting the rules, cause it is building up to what is coming After Armageddon. If you want to live under the Kingdom of God, then yes, there will be rules like do unto others and love thy neighbour etc. Quite harsh isn't it?

You honestly asked a simple question like that???? Geez. Don't you realize that GOd isn't MAKING you believe in CHrist. You even acknowledged that you have a choice to believe or not. He simple tells you the results of believing (heaven) or not (hell). THat's what this all boils down to... It's not complicated. You can't be serious.
Goodness Gracious, the US says that it's a COuntry of Freedom - yet there are laws you must abide by. Why can't you understand that God is the originator of this way. You can choose his way or Satan's. If you choose his, then there are rules you must abide by. Stop making something so simple so complicated.

He's merely letting you spend eternity where YOU choose. It is not God's will that you go there. It's YOUR will.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that ANY should perish but that ALL should come to repentance.

Well, then you are exercising your free will as you see fit...that is your God given right. Just because you don't think the rules are "fair" doesn't really matter does it?
Free will is only to the extent of choosing God or not...it was God's gift, therefore he gets to set the parameters.
Throwing a tantrum will get you no where. You'll be the big loser in the end.

Free-will is what you choose which is limited according to one's karma(action). Pious karma leads to happiness. Impious karma gives misery and suffering. Even while suffering or enjoying one can create fresh good or bad karma and consequently enjoy or suffer. Creating fresh karma is within one's free will. For instance, if one is flying in a airplane from New York to Delhi, the destination is fixed. He can do nothing about changing that karma he created which is going to Delhi. But, he exercise his free will in Airplane and execute some actions like sleeping, reading, watching movie etc. . . which in turn creates another result .
John Nordheimer: Is that preordained, or is it by free choice?
Prabhupada: Free choice. What is preordained? You are here of your free choice. If you like, you can sit down and talk with me, and if you don't like, then you can go. That is your free choice. Free choice makes destiny; if I act in goodness, then my future is good. And if I act badly, my future is bad. That is destiny. Man is the architect of his own destiny. If you are educated, your future is nice, and if you remain foolish, then your future is bad. Future destiny depends on present action. This life is an opportunity to make the next life, and if we behave like human beings, then in our next life we will go back home, back to Godhead. But if we behave like animals, then in the next life we will take animal bodies. That's all. All this is very nicely described in Bhagavad-gita. The conclusion is that human beings are meant for understanding God, but if we waste our time understanding dog, and if we become attached to dog, then we will become dogs in our next life. And if we are attached to God, we become like God, in our next life. The choice is ours.

Free will is the freedom to choose your actions. It is not the freedom to choose the consequences of those actions.

Having free will does not mean that you will not suffer the consequences of your choices. It simply means that it "is your choice". God does not do anything to people....people do things to themselves by making the wrong choices.
