Yes, it is not that old. I got a set of Westie brothers that were two years old and had never been kept indoors. They learned so fast I was amazed. I did use a crate and I would recommend doing that. I am attaching a link on crate training. Good luck with your new pup!

Yes you can still train the dog to be an inside dog. The dog might even be a better dog, as it will be very thankful for you letting it stay inside instead of out in the cold weather. Since the dog is still young, it shouldn't be too hard to potty train it.
GL with your new dog!

Yes, a one year old can be trained to go outside. I have found that dogs that have lived outside are easier to break because that is where they are use to doing there business. I have a cocker that is 1 1/2 yrs. old and I started her house training on paper as she was so small. I have since then trained her to go outside just by paying attention to her potty habits and then being faithful about taking her out to let her do here business outside. Eventually she got to the point to where she comes and sits in front of me when she needs to go. When you do start breaking her, make sure you talk to her and use words like "go outside to potty" use simple, short sentences and the dog will come to know that whenever you say this then its time to go out. My dog LOVES to go out so she is always happy to please me with doing her business outside. I also make sure I tell her shes a good girl for going pee-pee or poo-poo and then I always try to treat her with a doggie bone or some other treat. You have to be careful here though as the dog will want to go out just so when they come back in they can have a treat. Don't treat the dog if it doesn't do its business outside. Cockers are very intelligent and want to please you so they do learn quickly to routine. They do have the weak blatter problem when they get too excited though, you can't punish the dog for this as this is part of thier nature. I hope this helps.

Yes, just be persistent and at first take her out often and limit how much space she has is the house at night. My female was a yard dog and 2 years old when I got her and she trained really fast. She understood my disappointment when she had an accident in the house, and I give her a lot of praise when she goes outside, which she loves. Just don't hit her or cause her to fear you.

Yes you can, thru training. I've had cocker spaniels before. One habit some of them can have is to pee on the floor or wherever they are if they get excited. This happens alot with some if they haven't seen you all day. Its not a need but an happy reaction to seeing you. Good luck

Cookers are generally very easily housebroken. Some do have an incontinence issue, or submissive urination. If you have that problem than don't excite the dog when you come home, instead ignore the dog and let it out before doing the "or your such a cute doggy dance."

Sure you can train it to go potty outside! It may take a while but he'll catch on so don't get too upset with him if it takes longer than you have expected. Have a bit of pacients and he will reward you with a ton of puppy kisses!
You know he may just freak out with the snow so you'll have to show him how much fun it is to play in OK.

Yes, you can. You'll need to be very patient, and probably enlist the help of a trainer. There will be issues for a while. Good luck. He'll be so much better off as an indoor dog.

this will take love & patience but this can be done. Try not to speak too harshly to the dog. Give it lots of hugs too, and praise when it does something good. If it does stuff it shouldn't just scold but not shout, this will help as well.
