I used to like being friends with them when they are nice, but they are starting to be mean to me! Are they jealous? One of my ex boyfriends said that they are jealous. I am so confused. What should I do?

It looks like you need to make some new friends. I think your ex is right in that they are jealous. It probably doesn't matter that you are Cuban and you should quit waving that excuse. They wouldn't have been your friends in the first place if that was true.
When kids start dating, all sorts of rivalries crop up. Pretty girls suddenly have fewer friends and girls who boyfriend hop really get the cold shoulder. Boys who hop from girlfriend to girlfriend get a lot of attention from their peers, but they really don't get loyal friends.
Remember those teenage boys are looking to score, but they have no money and no future. Save it for a real man.

This is just a part of life. All you can do is be nice and treat people as you want to be treated. If they don't value your friendship then it's their loss let it go and move on. You will encounter so many people. Some mean, nice, and some who just don't care. Don't worry about it you will find true friends who will value you for who you are. And they will not care if you are Cuban, Mexican, American or whatever. They will only care for who you are in the inside. Good Luck and don't ever let any one put you nor your culture down. Be very proud of who you are and where you come from.

That is just wrong. They obviously are not really your friends. The Cuban culture is a beautiful culture and I hope you are proud of your heritage. They probably are just jealous. Find some better friends.

If so-called friends are giving you a hard time for being Cuban or for the car you drive then ditch them because they're not really friends.
Your friends are supposed to build you up, not tear you down.

if they don't like you then find some more real true friends and yes they are jealous in a lot of ways you may look better than them and you seem like you're a respected person,they just don't understand you just because you can speak English,&Cuban, i myself wouldn't let them bring me down be proud of yourself and where you came from!

mean is a cloak for fear... and they might be afraid you might steal their b/f, with your pretty dark skin and your brown eyes... yes they might be jealous, and no you shouldnt be friends with anyone who makes you feel bad, dont have a big fight or argument wit them, just find some new friends.... hang out more with them... dont burn your bridges, the mean-ish girls might change their attitudes and want to be friends again when they start missing you
