I believe that if you kill yourself you will send your soul to the devil.

I don't see how being a christian and ending your life are related. Many people end their own life, Christian or otherwise. The question should be why should someone take their own life. We all die.. this is the one simple truth of life. This is the one constant that all humans share... Death. Once we can accept the fact that we too are going to die one day, and that all things die. We begin to live life in the now, rather than in the past... where many people live... the life of should have... If I only had done this..... or many people live in the future... I need to, I have to do this... the problem with this is that we get so caught up in beating oneself up for the past, or we beat ourselves up for things we have not done yet, that we forget that we are living right now, in this moment. We get scared and want to "die". Well, who cares if you are christian, or Buddhist, or Jewish. We all die, we are going to die, and there is nothing right or wrong about death. It is going to happen, if by our own hand, or by a more 'natural' cause..whatever that means....and as far as the Devil is concenred...well, if one feels that they must project their inability to take responsibility for their own actions...and blame the "devil", your mother, your father, society.. What a terrible excuse that is... society creates victims, we want to blame eveyone and everything else except ourselfs for our joy or suffering... get over it, move on.

God is in control and not the devil. Get past the christianity thing and think of those that you leave behind. You will mess somebody up for the rest of their life. Don't do it.

Ending ones life is not selling his soul to the devil. Jesus tells us his love is unconditional, so if a human were to make such a mistake it would not cancel Jesus faith and love in us. On the flip side you must ask if we love Jesus and have faith, Why would we end our life. Our joy is in him our hope in him so our live always has purpose. We can always serve him and tell others about him.

ABSOLUTLY NOT! Nowhere in the Bible does it talk about suicide leading to hell. The ONLY thing that will prevent someone from entering into Heaven is the rejection of God's Son. Messiah was very clear on that point. Trust in Him, and nothing can keep you from His Father's hands. (that's in Matthew) This doesn't mean that a believer should commit suicide anyway. But he/she is not going to hell just for that.

Yes, so says the Bible. If you are a believer, you ought to think that God has granted you the gift of life, and throwing it away means deliberately rejecting God's love (i mean, imagine someone dear offering you a sincere gift and you smashing it down in front of them). ...But there are generally speaking quite serious reasons not to end ones life, even if you are not a believer - for instance, why hurry since you're going to die anyway...

God gave you the life, and you have no right to end it. You're not selling your soul to the devil, you are just doing something that is displeasing to God.

I don't know if that would be considered selling your soul but I can tell you that God has a good plan for his children's life and one doesn't know what tomorrow holds...Because He is the God of Breakthrough.

no...you are not selling your soul to the devil...but everyone is put on this earht for a purpose and by ending ones life they are not fullfuilling that purpose. It is not good for anyone to end their life.

No, in our very cell there is a process of cell suicide called apoptosis. When brain cells are growing dendrites and making connections with our cells those that don't make connection take themselves out. There is also a theory that says humans also go through this process. If the person feels they are not contributing to society, to their family, not serving a purpose, their brain tells them to take themselves out so as to no longer use up resources and space. So maybe it has its place.
