Pizza is a NO-NO..there is no such thing as lo-fat.
If I have to eat at McDonalds I usually get grilled chicken salad, dressing on the side or a grilled snack wrap with no dressing. They also have a yogurt fruit cup I have had for lunch on occasion.
Chinese, even though you would think it was better, is actually filled with calories. If I have to eat Chinese I opt for a veggie dish and on special occasions chicken with broccoli with white rice.

The only things McDonalds has that is close to low calorie is the grilled chicken salad and the fruit and yogurt parfait. Unless you want to count the diet soda.

Chinese? Most dishes are served with fried rice, I would choose a purely vegetable dish or one with the boiled rice, however rice is a pure starch and loaded with calories. If you do get rice, make it a small portion.

Pizza, the previous answer about thin crust is right on. The difference between thin and thick crust is about 100 calories a slice. Also double cheese is a no-no and meats on a pizza are a dieters nightmare. Choose quality!

My recommendation. Find a takeaway restaurant with better options or a healthy sit down restaurant that offers takeaway service. Also many sandwich shops offer healthy alternatives along with their belt busting sandwiches. For example, a Subway Melt sandwich on wheat is about 500 calories for a 6" and that's fully loaded with all the veggies you want and light mayo.

How do I know? I lost about 100 lbs since December 15, 2005.

Good Luck!

You can have take away foods once in a while. The ones that say no are not living in a real world or must be bored. The thing about it is moderation. If you know you are going to do take out, cut back on other things during the day. Chinese is good, get the shrimp and veggies. Just be careful, a lot of Chinese is loaded with sodium because of the sauces they use on the food. Pizza Hut makes a grilled chicken pizza. Here is the info on one slice 160 calories, 4 g fat, 22 carbs. You could eat 2 slices and be ok.
good luck.

Typically speaking there's no such thing, but you could try some of the following options: Veggie kebab, modern style indian takeaway (not so drenched in fat and ghee), pick salady options, subway (without dressing, cheese or any type of gloop on it), chow mein, and avoid things that are deep fried.

But don't kid yourself, most of these are still bad for you or boring.

If I want healthy fast food I get dippy bread, low fat soft cheese, cherry tomatoes, celery etc - but that only works on your lunch break. Not if your surrounded by people ordering takeaway at home.

actually soda is really fattening so drink it as little as possible or dont drink it. So if u do get mcdonalds dont get soda, they have salads and stuff there and ask them for a nutrional menu. I'd say pizza is the healthiest...dont know about least fattening but its healthy (i guess that depends on where it's made though.) And chinese food can be good too. I think brown rice is supposed to be better than white rice. But of all that stuff mcdonalds is the way worst.

KEBABS ... despite their bad reputation for being a food that u eat when youve had aheaving boozing session, some of the traditional Greek kebab shops produce quite healthy ones CHARGRILLED with loads of pick and choose SALAD, most will deliver to your door, and if you go in to take away, they cook it in front of you, if i was on a diet and still having the odd takeaway this would be my favorite choice.

The worst takeaway option is Chinese and Indian - they are the highest in fat.

If you have a pizza, stay away from thick crust and get thin where possible.

With Mac's I would just have small portions e.g. stay away from large. A cheeseburger will have lower calories then say a big mac and they serve diet coke there.

If you have a Chinese try and fill up on rice. Stay away from fried and get boiled.

Good luck
