HI. I have two abcessed teeth, and i am taking an antibiotic. Just wondering if anyone had any home remedies or any ideas of how to ease the pain till the medicine kicks in and starts taking effect. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Antibiotics only help if there is infection. Just because you were told there is an abscess that doesn't necessarily mean there is infection. And if there is infection realistically the only successful treatment is a root canal. Antibiotics are only a temporary fix. If you are having pain now I would suggest Ibuprofen (Advil) this is an anti-inflammatory. this is helpful in reducing inflammation. there has been some talk about cloves but this doesn't work on everybody. Good luck and call an Endodontist.

try some cloves or clove oil. when you have a tooth pulled & it gets impacted the dentist pack it with tiny cotton balls soaked in a type of clove oil to help relieve the pain.
