there is now no distinction between illegal migrants and legal migrants. when you see the home office report you begin questioning whether this issue is legitimate or its just politically correct just like global warming. personally i think is is bordering on racism. There is nothing that special about UK or USA every country recieves immigrants around the world. Ethiopia recieves the most immigrants as well syria. I dont see immigration making the headlines every flippin hour!!!

Apparently those immigrants want to do for this country what they have done for theirs. And they will.

No. What's ugly is that thousands of these criminals are crossing our borders daily. There's a big difference between illegal immigration and legal immigration and it isn't racist to be concerned about the illegal immigration issue. Reform is badly needed. It is a real danger to America, both socially and economically. It's not harmless the way you are depicting it to be. First of all, illegals take jobs away from legal citizens (it hits minorities in this country the hardest). Aliens take and take but never give anything back in return except further damage to this country. They perform cheap labor for low income, but they don't keep the money here. Nine times out of ten, they wire the funds to their families back in their own country. When this occurs, our economy suffers badly.

They are also an intolerable drain on our public funds -- tax wise. They pay little or no taxes themselves, yet they place a huge burden on our tax resources causing increased need for tax funded services such as border patrol, police, medical, schools, courts, etc. They constantly overcrowd the population which is a major problem. Illegals are already being granted excessive rights which is disturbing to say the least. They can get drivers licenses, credit cards, bank accounts, and they are permitted to go to our public schools. Legal children are having to go to public schools with hordes of illegal children and being stuck in a classroom with them like a sardine in a can and the illegals do not even speak a lick of English. Since there are so many illegal children to attend to, the education of the legal children suffers. If I were still a kid, I certainly would not want to go to school in those conditions. That's dreadful.

Additionally, illegal aliens have a propensity to commit a lot of crimes - it's a proven fact! (see my source)

If you are not worried about the destructive issue of immigration yet, you definitely should be! All illegals need to be rounded up and deported. They are causing chaos and it needs to stop.

The distinction is that one is AGAINST THE LAW and the other is NOT. I don't understand what the confusion is here. Do yourself and your country a favor and stop letting the media do your thinking for you.

What a tired issue. Round and round and round we go. I am so sick of being accused of having an "issue" with immigrants. Yes for the billionth time I KNOW I am here because of my immigrant ancestors. Of course I know this. And I am very proud of it. HEY - my ancestors were here LEGALLY. They had absolutely NO sense of entitlement; they worked (and worked and worked) to provide a better life for themselves and their families.

If I got into a car accident this afternoon - hit by another car driven by an illegal immigrant, I would be scr*wed. I could do nothing. If I was injured? I'd be responsible - recovery, medical bills, missed time at work. If my car was totaled? Tough. Pay for a new one and higher insurance payments. At best the illegal alien who hit me would be deported.

This is just an example. There are too many negative effects on this country and its society caused by illegal immigrants to list here.

This has nothing to do with being racist, hurting anyone's feelings, being PC.

EDUCATE YOURSELF AND WAKE UP!

I don't freaking care if the losers on the left or the Hispanic Supremacists call me and other patriotic Americans racist! I am still going to fight for my country. These groups like La Raza, MEChA, LULAC, MALDEF, etc., are the true racists.

Anyone who comes into this country illegaly is an illegal alien. Mexico has much tougher rules and punishments for those who enter their country illegally, and I don't hear anyone calling them racists or bigots! The US has been invaded by over 10 million aliens since Bush has been president, which is another reason that he should be impeached. He has not upheld his oath of office "To protect the US from all enemies."

Al Qaeda and other enemies have crossed the border from Mexico into the US along with gang members, drug smugglers, sexual predators, murderers, thousands of drunk drivers, and other assorted scumbags. We need a border fence to stop this invasion, but Bush will think of any excuse not to build it!

Two of the main sources of revenue for the Mexican government are the sales of illegal drugs by their gangs to US citizens, and the remittances of tens of billion dollars a year from Mexicans living in the US to their relatives in Mexico. Without these sources of funds and the employment that over 10 million Mexicans have in the US, the Mexcian government would collapse. I would love to see that happen.

arent we all immigrants or related to one somewhere down the line...

the issue is taking on a serious tone due to the fact that these people who were in the USA being taught how to fly took down buildings...

it isnt about the immigrants as much as it is about the terrorists.
unfortunately the immigrants are just showing how easy it is to cross borders illegally, and how easy it is for terrorists to do the same thing.

go watch the movie about illegal immigration, fast food nation.

immigrants are good... terrorists are bad, but unfortunately to keep the latter mentioned folks out, we must also watch out for the aforementioned

There are reasons every country that subsidize services for its own people (like education) limits immigration of poor people. It isn't racism, although racists may also be against mass immigration of poor who happen to be of a different race.

It is ruining our schools in the US. That we let it go on so long proves it is NOT racism, in my opinion.

My suggestion is that all of the idiots that think illegal immigrants have the right to be here should be assigned a few. To be responsible for their actions and to provide for them. Then they would be one big happy family ! Move them all to a part of the world such as the desert and let them kill each other instead of allowing them to murder, rape, and steal from true Americans !

The problem is that people need to stay in their own countries. If they stayed in their own countries then there wouldn't be a problem -- get it?

These foreigners bring crime, entitlement attitudes, start ethnic PAC's, spawn street gangs, get medical care and other government subsidies at taxpayer expense, they drive drunk, preach hatred for infidels, beat their women, they challenge the current culture at every turn, etc., etc.

My question to you is, why can't these people turn their homelands into better places to live? Obviously we can't import all of Latin America ... all of Africa ... all of the Middle East ... all of Eastern Europe ... all of Southeast Asia ... and India into the United States. So why should some of these people get the lazy way out just so they can come to the US to be able to afford a big screen TV? These people are abandoning their homeland, their communities and their people just to make a quick buck in the US. In doing so they perpetuate problems in their homelands because they're too lazy to fix them.

Are these people so weak, so inferior that they can't turn them homelands into great nations? The early US settlers and the early Europeans suffered plagues, constant warfare, political sabotage, starvation, disease, lack of knowledge, etc., etc. So if the early settlers and Europeans could turn their countries into desirable places to live, why can't these foreigners?

These foreigners have the United Nations to pressure their countries on human rights. Their countries receive foreign aid from the US, Europe and Asia. The information and people willing to show these foreigners how to start businesses, develop job skills and grow food are available. The early settlers and Europeans had none of these advantages. They had to figure out everything by trial and error. So why can't these foreigners, legal and illegal turn their homelands into better places to live for themselves and their communities?

There is nothing racist about questioning immigration at the moment its a shambles . Sadly some parts of the media use dodgy language which doesn't help. But its a free country which should respect free speech .

Maybe in your eyes it is. There is a definite distinction between immigration and illegals in my mind. We have too many illegals in this country. I don't care where they originate, if they are illegals I want them deported.

the problem is there are no jobs where they come from. in the USA there are jobs everywhere. most jobs done be "illegal migrants" or illegal aliens are jobs not wanted by USA workers, either because its hard, not paid enug, dangerous, demanding, etc. if the other country had jobs we would not be dealing with immigration problem. also these people cross or immigrate because of the crimes rate in their country. I don't like it as much as you do, but stopping it is a long shot. we can't stop it, just like any other problem we have. like wars, poverty, unemployment, health, economy, etc you name it. the list goes on.
