Why would I be willing to spend an eternity in the Christian Hell they talk about so much, if I wasnt REALLY committed to my lack of belief. The burden of proof is not on us, it is on God and I put him/her to task. Remember they road LESS traveled is the right road.

Yes. A lack of faith requires one to think for himself instead of depending on a false god to tell him what to do!!

Your evidence that the road less travelled is the right road? Also you state willingness to spend eternity in hell, implying that you believe in hell.

You also erroneously imply atheism is a lack of belief, when it is a belief in no god. As you cannot prove there is no god then you should conclude atheism is a belief.

I do agree that the burden of proof is not on the atheist, on the other hand it's not on the theist either though many will try to prove it. I think you are correct that the burden of proof ought to be on god.

The burden of proof is not on God if God does not exist. It is on the person who claims that God exists.

The lack of faith requires no commitment, and who's to say the road less traveled is the right road?

Lack of faith, among many thinkers, is not a free ride. If you do not believe in God, there is no higher entity from which to draw comfort, no one to forgive you if you should do something that is difficult to forgive. If you are explaining something difficult to your small children, you may actually limit what they can hope for, a particularly thorny problem for an agnostic parent explaining justice or death of a loved one. So, I agree that there are many people "without faith" who have a more highly developed and self-directed sense of integrity than many people.

i'm a Reverend interior the Church of Atheism. All ideals or ideals in loss of ideals in case you would be conscious it this way, demands faith. it somewhat is authentic that technological know-how =/= Atheism and evolution =/=atheism. in spite of if it somewhat is authentic to assert, as you have experienced right here, that it grants yet another creation tale for lots of people who're christian or atheist and then unavoidably redefines the physique threw which they define the cost of their lives and the area it has to the previous, modern-day, and destiny. SO what's authentic? Believing the terrific technique to ensure actuality is threw the scientific technique, or rationalism on my own, or the different technique -biblical gibberish additionally - demands faith. it somewhat is basically a remember of how plenty. Christians prefer plenty and atheists faith is so small it somewhat is even detectable. permit me supply you an occasion with good judgment. God created each and every thing Evil is a element subsequently god created evil. Now as a manner to coach something with good judgment you first could desire to settle for a premise including "god created each and every thing" each and every thing that precedes the basis is taken on faith and the basis itself is purely as euclidean of an axiom as you would be able to desire to swallow it.

Probably, the way you mean it. But REAL faith requires no discipline at all.

Hi, this is Chad at the Crisis Center. We appreciate your call. We don't believe that God has any need to "sell" himself as you are implying. Heaven is not a marketing firm. Thanks for calling and have a nice day.
