O.K. I am currently home schooled! I got grounded because I wasn't doing ALL my work during the day. I got grounded Monday , and it is Friday! I am supposed to be grounded untill Monday. I need to know some good ways I can get ungrounded. If I do get ungrounded I am going to spend the night at a friends house (SHE IS GOING THROUGH ALOT RIGHT NOW!!!) and I will also go out tommorow with the same friend. UM.. What else is there to say? I am 11 years old and will have to convince my MOM to unground me!!!!

Try to bargain with your mom. Offer to do some chores that you normally wouldnt do instead of being grounded, and make sure that you have completed whatever got you grounded in the first place before you try to negoitate.

How about completing the task(s) you are assigned.... That would prevent you from placing yourself in this situation in the first place. Correct?

One day when you're grown and on your own, your boss won't care to hear your excuses when she/he has given you a task to complete on time. You either get responsible and get it done or you'll face the consequences just as you have at home... and that could very well mean that you lose your job....

I know that's a lot to try to understand at 11 years old, but your Mom is doing what is right and in your best interest. She's is holding you accountable and that's her job.

Be super nice. Do extra chores. Talk to your mom and tell her what you have learned by being grounded this long. Promise to do better (and do it).

This may not work. If not, missing time with your friend will impress on you the importance of NOT getting grounded again (hopefully). Good luck!

Hun, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there probably isn't a damned thing you can do to get out of this one. Your mom is going to stick to her guns.....you messed up so now you gotta pay for it. The next time you consider ditching your work, remember this and the fun you missed out on. I'm not trying to be harsh....just speaking the truth. Take your lumps and know that your mom is doing this because she loves you.

You need to make sure you keep up with your work for today, as well as your chores if you have them, You also need to talk to your parents and explain to them that you want to do better and that you feel your friend needs you to be there for her. If they won't budge on that, ask them if you can just be off-grounded for that day.

APPOLIGIZE! admit you were wrong and that you are willing to make up all work.. and paint your moms hand and toes... give her a massage.. sound pitiful...

Be a good girl and stay put. 11 year olds need to be quiet and sweet and never go outside. Please be good for your parents sake
