Right now the largest is the Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas and it will be joined on May 19th this years by Royal Caribbean's new Liberty of the Seas which is the same size and configuration.
Passenger Capacity: 3,634 double occupancy
Gross Tonnage: 160,000
Length: 1,112'
Max Beam: 184'
Draft: 28'
Cruising Speed: 21.6 knots
The Freedom (and the Liberty) features the first-ever onboard surf park at sea; cantilevered whirlpools that extend 12 feet beyond the sides of the ship; the H2O Zone® waterpark, complete with interactive sculpture fountains, ground geysers and a cascading waterfall; our largest rock-climbing wall, with eleven routes and a central spire you can swing around; and so much more! Extensive WiFi capabilities and connectivity for cell phones will also be available, as well as flat-screen TVs in every stateroom, and upgraded pillowtop bedding..
The Freedom is a great ship and we enjoyed our cruise on it.

It's the MS Freedom of the Seas of Royal Carribean. She floated out of a dock (Aker Finnyard) in Finland on August 19, 2006. The past record holder was the Cunard Line Queen Mary 2.

The largest cruise ship is the Freedom of the Seas. It's an AMAZING ship! I just sailed it last week and loved every minute of it. I'm sure there are larger ships for transport and military but I can't help you there.
