Sounds like your cat loves you and being with you at all times. I had a cat just like that, he hated a door being closed between he and I. Especially at night, cats love snuggling up against your warm body, plus they love their masters...your cat just wants to be near you. How old is your cat? Sometimes if they are young they can get scared and miss their mommy or sibling kittens. You make them feel safe :) Even if your cat is older, he or she just loves ya to death & hates shut doors LOL
Hope this helps ya :)

I have four cats and two of them do this same thing if I don't leave the door cracked open for them to come in. If I leave the door open they will climb onto the end of the bed and sleep until morning. He's just lonely and wants company for the night.

Sounds like your cat gets lonely at night and wants to share your bed with you, if he dosen't bother you while you sleep and you don't mind him sleeping with you, let him in. My two cats both sleep with me on my bed, and they sleep all through the night, but if one gets locked out of the bedroom for any reason they have a fit.

your cat wants to be by his human. if it's just your bedroom door, keep your door open enough for him to come in and go back out as needed. if it's your main house door, be sure he is in before you go to bed.

Yes, it sounds like he wants to be with you. Or he wants the door open. Either you can leave the door open, or you can ignore him.

Your cat probably is lonely. If your cat doesn't have a bed of it's own you should definatley get him one.

Cats sleep communally. If your cat had his preference he would sleep with you. It is typical feline behavior.
