Just put a note on the top of the screen that says "do not touch the screen".
If he still does it just point to the note.

I'd say something like, " I'll bet you didn't know this, but I found out that touching an LCD screen like this could cause damage. " That should get your point across ;)

Next time he starts to touch your screen, just tell him straight away that you dont like it and that it can damage the screen

If you guys have a joking around relationship. Then say something that will get the point across but make them laugh.
If he/she knows it bugs you, that may be the goal in first place.

If it is around the edge, put double sided sticky tape on it. Then when they touch it, their hand will get stuck for a very slight moment.

i remember when I was feeding the sealions..and one of the temperary staff went to smoothe the bulls face..I shouted but I was terrified he would think her hand was food...but after i regretted it...so be nice and say " could you please stop touching this screen or i will break your fingers" lol.
