forsure - w omen's bras usually have a life span of 8-12 months before they should be changed, underwear usually about 6-12 months, socks are usually fine but do wear and tear quite easily.

With bras, the elasticity seems to go out after a certain amount of wearing and you'll not have much support. I have so many that I have a good rotation and make mine last longer. Also, with panties, I don't know of any hard and fast rule with that...I buy all mine to match my bras and I just don't see the need to replace them if they are still in perfectly fine condition after several months (no 'stains', holes, snags, etc.). Basically, that stuff is gets too expensive if you want to set a time schedule for replacement. I only like VS, and it can get rather pricey for someone on a budget.

depending on the fabric of the undergarment that can also play a role in determining how soon you should replace them. panties should typically be cotton because cotton fabric allows air circulation which is ideal for the health of your genital area; but the elastic can also wear with laundering (the dryer) so you should use your discretion. for bras when the support has decreased in the underwire/cup and shoulder straps it is time to replace them. To sum it up there is no true golden rule or time frame to replace your undergarments.

I really think how often we buy new under garments depend on several factors, the wear of them, do tthey still look good or are they ratty looking? How well we care for them, do you hand wash and dry on a the gentle cycle so they have a better chance of lasting over time? How often does your body change, are you a teen still going through growth spurts?Have you lost or gained a significant amount of weight? And lastly how do they feel to you when you wear them, does the elastic in the waist and legs still hold its shape, do your bras still lift and separate as they are meant to do?I think these questions are the true indicators of whether you nedd new under garments or not.You be the judge, becuase everyone has different standards when it comes to under garments.

yes, you should buy new undergarments maybe every couple of months or so cuz they can get holes in them and then sometimes just not fit anymore.

a bra specialist will tell you that you SHOULD renew all bras after about 3/4 months.............at which point I would start laughing........really who on earth can afford to replace about 8 bras at the rate of $45.00+ EACH every 4 months. certainly not me when I have my self and my daughter to buy for.
I can get away with the cheaper ones but due to her having bigger boobs she really needs the support but also wants to have the pretty ones [which is fair enough]
Not so sure it is NOT a ploy to get us to buy more.............
