I'm mean't to be meeting my ex boyfriend for a drink tomorrow night, last time i saw him was 14 months ago! He told me that he has missed me but he only wants to be friends. Do you reckon he wants more and by saying he only sees me as a friend is away of getting to see me again? x

people are so quick to ASSUME the worst. maybe he misses the companionship. 14 months is a long time to be wanting to spark up a new relationship with someone again. you two are completely different people after a year. don't go in with any expectations he may be wanting to catch up b/c he is in a better mind frame than he was when you two were together. you'll be in a public place it's not like he said "come to my house for a drink" I say go for it!!

Now that's funny. You two broke up for a reason, right? Well, that's why you havent seen him in 14 months. He probably just wants to get you in the sack because he's in a slump and knows that you'll put out. My advice is to stand him up and if he calls, say that you just didn't feel comfortable with the whole idea and need to move on.

If the relationship broke off suddenly, it could be that he is seeking some kind of closure. Don't go alone, but be sure to give him some space to express himself without anyone else overhearing your conversation. I don't want to scare you but there have been numerous cases where meeting an ex(just to talk) ended badly(the girl got stabbed ,shot or raped). If he wants to meet you then he's got something on his mind. Why not take a friend along or don't go at all.

I believe that he may have found someone else. I really think that's what it is. A lot can happen in 14 months, yes he may still have feelings for you but this other person is clouding his judgment big time. Be careful, and just believe him when he says he want's to be friends he probably really does.

14 months have passed and he want to talk, two things either he has news that he wants to share (he is getting married) or he is looking to get back. The friendship thing never works with an X

He propbaly has being friends that first of many ideas on his mind there are very few guys that when they say they just want to be friends that truely mean it most mean that they want to be friends until you are ready for more but the thing is if thats true then only be friends if thats what you want. your being happy is more important then some guy gettting what he wants.

I think a lot depends on who broke up with who. If you broke up with him then yes i think he is looking for more or at least another chance with you. If he broke up with you then he may still be looking for more but the chances are higher he just wants to hang out.
a good way to know is if he is paying for the drinks. if you are going out to hang out as friends you don't pay for each others drinks. and if he is paying and he keeps trying to buy you more then you will really know.

Ask him? if you are uncertain of anyones feeling toward you ask.. It better to know on hand then to make assumpation. If he saids he wants to just be friends he probably means it. He probably still has feeling for you. Some of my closet friends are my exs and i'm married.

I think he wants more, but he isn't going to just throw it on you. I think he is just going to ease it on you.. It sounds to me that he loves you, B/c yall have not seen each other in 14 months and now he wants to meet with you... Ain't no guy going to do that if he doesn't love you...
