Hello! To answer your question, yes it is normal. See being a vet tech and a proud cat owner I could tell you that cats can have 6 kittens the first time around and 3 kittens the second time around and then the thrid time they would have 4 kittens. It all varies. Depending upon her production of eggs thats all. Nothing to really cause for concern, as long as momma and babies are alive and well that is all that really matters. Cats litters can actually have multiple fathers. For example if tomcat A only fertilzes 3 eggs, tomcat B can come a long and fertlize more, and if there are any eggs left, it opens up the door for tomcat C. I know that my boys came in a litter of 4 form a controlled 1 father environment. If you cat only had 3 kittens, it would be logical to assume that the litter only had one father.

Yes this is completely normal, sometimes cats only have two kittens!! Trust me my friends cat has had many small litters. (her number of kittens ranges from 2-4 kittens each litter)

A cat having any number for 1 to about 12 kittens is normal, it's kinda like humans with one baby, twins or triplets.

There is nothing abnormal about it. My cat just has kittens last week and just had 2.

THIS IS NORMAL...I HAVE 17 HIMMIES AND THE MOTHER CATS HAVE BETWEEN 2 AND 6 ..I HAVE HEARD THEY HAVE MORE BUT I HAVE 8 FEMALES AND 6 IS THE MOST AND MOST OF THE TIME IS 2 OR 4
