Were any of the poker players in Casino Royale legitimate professionals in cameo roles? Some of the ppl looked vaguely familiar, but maybe I was imagining it.
Don't watch that much Poker on TV, but a little bit.

Wikipedia has nothing on professional poker players as cameos in the film. Although it is interesting to note that the two card players listed in the Credits (John Gold and Jerry Inzerillo) both have no real history as actors, there is nothing on the internet that I can find where either of these names is tied to professional poker.

The movie features cameo roles by British entrepreneur Richard Branson (seen being frisked at an airport), American hotel tycoon Jerry Inzerillo, Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio (seen when Bond first approaches the Ocean Club), and Sens Unik rapper Carlos Leal. Key members of the production also feature in cameo roles — producer Michael G. Wilson appears as the corrupt Montenegrin police chief, continuing his long-standing tradition of Bond film cameos dating from Goldfinger, while director of cinematography Phil Meheux features briefly as a treasury bureaucrat and the film's director Martin Campbell makes a fleeting cameo as the face of the murdered petrol tanker driver at Miami Airport. i watched the poker scene again, and I thought I saw Chau Giang, but it wasn't him. it was a different guy. I did not recognize any of the players as professional.
