Lust is about about wanting someone for who they appear to be.

Well there is a big difference.
Love is where you know that someone is going to be there for you and tell you things that you need to hear like the following examples....
I love you and I couldn't survive the day without you.
You look like you need a friend, you need an ear.
All my thoughts can't stop thinking of you.
See all these plus more have the meaning of love on which you can feel and see everyday.
Now lust is just where you just have to have it no matter who it hurts in the long run.
There are usually no feelings and when you get done with it, it's over.
If you want to feel love it makes you feel good all over but if it's lust there is no feelings towards your mate or yourself.
Good Luck

lust is purely physical, its intense, producing powerful emotions, its unrealistic and always wanes sooner or later. this stage only lasts a while, when it is over with there may be a power struggle,. real love is when u are more concerned about the development of the other one. lust is just the euphoria for the lover, love means u can accept the other as they really are, and stay in the relationship when the honeymoon stage ends.

Lust is physical attraction that is based primarily on fulfilling your own sexual desires, but love is a deep feeling for someone that goes so far past affection or infatuation. When you love someone, you accept them exactly as they are with all their warts and flaws (and you even love them BECAUSE of their warts and flaws) and your feelings for them are not all about you. When you truly love someone you are patient and kind with them, and your relationship with them isn't centered on getting your way all the time. Instead, it's based on a healthy respect for the other person's wants and needs, so you learn to compromise and figure out which issues are really import enough for you to take a stand on (and which issues aren't worth arguing over). It is possible to experience a form of love at first sight, but true love takes time to develop because you have to get to know a person and still be able to love and respect them even when you find out they're less than perfect. Does that help?

With love you can think about a future with a person. With lust you can only think about the next time you get to f***.

The obvious and most simple answer is that love is emotional and lust is physical, but there are many shades of gray when people are involved with each other.
