I've always wanted children. I have never tried to actively but if it happend I knew I would be happy. Now that I'm getting older I want at least one child before I can't have any. I'm not married but am in a long term relationship. With every late period I get so excited/nervous. Then it comes, and I'm sad.

Is there anyone else out there who has always wanted children (and I'm talking I had dream to have children since I was a child myself) but was unable to have their own?? What did you do, how did you handle it? My mother went though "the big change" in her early thritys and I'm afraid that I'll go though it before I have my own. If I do...I guess I'm just looking for how others may have handeled it.

(also I'm late right now and already had one Neg test. Had a dream last night that I was preg then I lost it and it got me thinking)

To answer your question..yes I have thought of it. But I would like just one of my own. I do want more than one child and if it comes down to it I will adopt. But I would like just one of my own flesh and blood ya know.

My first piece of "advice" would be to TRY and stop worrying about it. The more stress you put on yourself to conceive the harder it will be for you. Secondly, have you talked to your significant other about wanting to have a baby? If he knew how important it was to you, then maybe the two of you could begin trying a bit more - by taking temps and graphing it - as most women who are TTC do! Finally - maybe you could get a surrogate mother to actually CARRY your child for you if you go into early menopause! My sister offered that to me - if I needed it.... I was told I couldn't have children... now, I am pregnant - so I would wish you all the best!

If you want it, you will have it. I wish you all the luck in the world. Have you ever thought about adopting?
