Considering they got their flood myth from the gilgamesh babylonian flood myth, I find it hard to believe that they could possibly take any of this seriously.
Human beings have historically been awful to one another.. prophecies of doom have been around for thousands of years.
People have ignored them and gone on with their lives, regardless. No one era is that much different from another. Over 6 million people were wiped out during the holocaust in WWII.. I'd say that was worse than the Romans and yet here we are.
I doubt you're going to convince die-hard christians that they're gloom and doom prophecies just aren't going to happen.

The truth is the world stays the same, things are not getting worse or better. People have been saying that conditions are getting worse for thousands of years, and Christians have been saying we are in the end times since about 500AD, how can this be? If people concentrate on the bad things and believe hard enough of course things will look like they are getting worse. If people would take in the whole picture, or even better concentrate on the good in the world things wont look so dark, and maybe the world will become a better place.

I think because it gets worse as time goes on. we absolutely have orgies and gluttony now. We have genocide and torture and terrorist actions which are along the same line. Absolutely no regard for human life. What do you think happens to a fetus when it is aborted? In some types of abortion it is vacuumed- and ripped apart piece by piece- to get it out of the body. That is certainly for personal convenience for the majority. Sorry to be so graphic. We are becoming an inhumane society. In some countries overseas it is already very bad. Unfortunately.

People are just to stubborn and have blind fold in there eyes to believe. I see this too! Money doesn't bring happiness, you will still feel an emptiness inside. depression will take you to suicide. This is the devil that wants to destroy the person. Alcohol and drugs will cause you sickness or overdose. Scary movies are making more money that any other movie at the theaters. This evil spirits will not let you leave in peace. One way or another a person will look for a way to take away their problems. Why not try Jesus, Instead of different sexual partners, drugs, alcohol, hate, bitterness, idolatry. This people are just hurting themselves. God is the only correct answer! I was myself a previous skeptic, now I'm a Christian believer because God has touch my heart.

I think you are a very ill informed person. Why are you highlighting this womans answer to your irrelevant question? This is an excellent answer, and all the facts in it are true and valid. America has a policy of systematic torture, only they don't put it on the front page of the news paper, so I guess it just doesn't happen eh? Global warming is not happening either. You are a perfect example of a scoffer and ridiculer, in the last days. You sound young. Are you potty trained yet?

One thing that I would like to clear up for your benefit, please.
It is not a matter of "worse" or not, it is whether one has sinned at all, or not.
Human nature is such that we size ourselves up, judging that we aren't as evil or bad as someone else because we would never commit the horrible sin that THEY'VE done!
Sin is sin. We all stand guilty of sin before God.
What is wrong with eating, drinking, getting married?
NOTHING! What this all means is that people were going about their lives as if there were nothing going on...that's right.
Human nature has not changed, not at all.

There is no such things as a worse sinner or better sinner. Sin is sin, and everyone will be judged accordingly. The things is to make sure you aren't slipping when your time comes.

I don't think we're worse than the Romans. Look at the number of severely overweight people ... and the Romans were gluttonous?
We don't tear each other apart for entertainment? Look at the movies today ... we can see it any time. (Of course we don't have to actually kill ... we use special effects now and anyone can see it)
Though I'm not a Christian, your argument really falls flat We're every bit as violent and "sinfull" as were the Romans.

Listen to these verses about what was going on in Noah's day.
Genesis 6:5 "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
Genesis 6:7 "and the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing; and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them."
Genesis 6:11 "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence."
Genesis 6:13 "and God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth."
The earth is full of violence and the majority of people do not believe that Jesus is coming. The reason we believe Jesus is coming soon is Israel. Keep your eyes on Jerusalem. All prophecy will be fulfilled there.

Some scholars believe that Nostradamus wrote not to be a prophet, but to comment on events that were happening in his own time, writing in his elusive way — using highly metaphorical and cryptic language - to avoid persecution. This is similar to the Preterist interpretation of the Book of Revelation
