Yeah I guess it does stink now that you mention it.

I've missed voting a couple of times because I extended the question. They don't warn you when the extension is about to expire--if you're not on top of it, it surprises you and just expires. Also, when they say, "you have two days left," I think you really have one day and maybe a part of a second, but not a full 48 hours. I've missed a few that way. Y!A really needs to change that. I am now very reluctant to extend my question because I'm afraid it will cost me the vote.
If they're new to Y!A, it might just slip by.
I am sorry for you. You've advised your heart out and they just ignore you.
If you forget to pick a best answer and it goes into voting, you can still vote on it, but only as a Y!A member, not as the asker--I think. I know you can vote if you've answered a question and the asker doesn't pick a best answer.

There is a draw back to the voting that sometimes the totally wrong answer is voted as best when an available, well researched correct answer is ignored . I personally don't like getting best answer from voters because I'm answering the individual who asked the question, and similar to your frustrations, I feel that the asker should honor the time that everyone took to answer the question by choosing the best answer. Yes I vote, I thumbs up and down.

Yes i completley agree!!! I think it is very rude when you put time in answering a question and the person who asked it cant even be bothered to comment and vote for best answer!! Some people are just lazy but maybe others dont get back to their computers in time to vote and yahoo have already put it in the voting system!! x

There's only been once or twice that I didn't vote for a best answer. The first time, I was having my son. The second time, I just got busy with work and forgot about it.
I think a lot of people are hoping that no one will vote in the voting process so they get their points back.

I agree with you. If someone cared enough they would vote. Whenever I ask a question (once every blue moon) I try to remember to pick the best one. Once I forgot about it and that question never resolved.

After 3 days I think that there should be a way Yahoo would automatically pick the best answer...no extensions

Their questions might be Good but the person that asked the question might think that others are better than the other ones

I agree. I work hard at some of my answers. I want to be voted for. Everyone at work thinks I am a loser because I do this all day. I don't mind though, I just want my score to keep going up. So vote for me!! :)
