While I do agree that God would be angry with people who put greed above giving, I absolutely do not agree with some of the basic premises of NOI, that the black race is superior in any way. The Quran' states in 49:13 that there should be no racism:
“O mankind! We created you of a male and a female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may come to know one another. Verily the most honored of you, in the sight of God, is the most righteous.”
So Farrakhan and Malcom X and their ilk have NOT followed the book they "base" their beliefs on.

If Farrakhan thinks the problem is because the world is divided by different faiths, I'd bet his answer would be to have everybody join his faith.
Since he is in a country where the largest faith is Christianity, shouldn't he join them ?
How does he hope to create this unity ? Oh sure, everybody become a Muslim like him.
I am non-religious, but if I ever decided to join a church, Islam would be my last choice - - right at the botton. Why? because of all the wonderful inventions, all the marvels of the modern world, nothing - - absolutely nothing has ever been invented in a Muslim nation. Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot the suicide belt. That's the limit of Muslim thinking.
Some day the Muslims may decide to join the world, but it won't be by the bunch of leaders that they have now. They're still stuck back in the medieval days. All they can concentrate on is power and killing.

With THAT particular statement, yes I do agree. It is dead on spot about the present world affairs.
That said, I don't trust Farrakhan. His history of hatred is to embedded to give credence to anything that man says. He will say one thing to pacify the general public then say something opposite in a meeting with his followers.
Right now some speculate that Farrakhan is giving more tolerable lip service because he's trying to close the gap between the NOI and main stream Muslims. As of right now the main stream Muslims do not acknowledge the NOI because of it's legacy and doctrine of hate.
Only God knows his heart.

Minister Farrakhan appears to be a weathervane politician whose rhetoric flows whichever way plays best for him at the moment. The critique he expressed is of course self-evident and Farrakhan, more than most, has been at the center of putting politics and greed above his fellow man. If he has genuinely decided to be a leader instead of rabble rouser, we'd all be pleased to see it and not just hear it.

I strongly disagree with mixing religion with politics. Yes, I want leaders that have a well defined sense of ethics, but I also want them to have a tolerance for all religions (as long as the religion doesn't promote or tolerate terrorism or violence) and to not have any sort of religious agenda.

Well his statement has some merits, but his past stance on the Jewish people leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and seems to make him look a little, well, hipocritical in that area. I mean he's feeding the Anti-Jewish fires, which isn't a very peaceful or tolerant view.

I agree with him in this regard. Many leaders today are more concerned with garnering more power for themselves and making themselves look better to other leaders, that they don't actually DO anything for the sake of the people that they were chosen to lead.

Farrakhan is a white hating SOB, do NOT listen to his lies. He is a thug like Malik Shabbaz, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton. They are ALL pulpit pimps

When Farrakhan speaks, grains of salt miraculously appear so that those in attendance can take it with his speech.
