If the toothache is caused by damage to the tooth - a hole, a missing filling - then you might try clove oil. If there is a hole of any great magnitude, then mixing the clove oil with zinc oxide powder will provide a temporary filling that will remove the pain and suffice, with careful treatment that excludes cracking open nuts etc, until you see a dentist.
Hope this helps

If you are having a real toothache you really do need to go to the dentist. If they are not taken care of quickly tooth infections can cause serious medical problems. Like the Nike add says...JUST DO IT.

I would make a call to the dentist right away. A bad tooth ache with a fever is a very common sign of a tooth abscess. I just went through it myself back in November. Don't wait.. Get to a dentist right away!! Hope you feel better soon : )

See a dentist. sounds like you have an infection for which you need an antibiotic before any dental work can be done. FYI - I just read about a young boy who died due to an infection that made it way to his brain. Good/ bad dental hygiene has been linked to a healthy/Poor body.

Rinse your mouth with the coldest water you can stand. Then apply a heating pad to the side of your face that the tooth is bothering you on. Get to the dentist ASAP but you may have an abcess since you have the fever. He can give you antibiotics and something good for pain.

Best remdy is the dentist, leaving a bad tooth for so long can cause medical problems like infection (sounds like what you have now) and can lead to worse complications later and cost you more money in the long run if you don't get your tooth checked.

Untill you can get to a dentist I would suggest using pure lemon extract. (the kind you get from the spice section in the tiny bottle) Put it on the end of a q-tip and rub it around the area that is painful. This worked well for me till I could get to a dentist when I had pain. (Just don't lick the q-tip! lol YUCK!)

Put a piece if ice on your gums, below the aching tooth. This will numb the gums, where the nerves are. Keep the ice on until you can get an appointment with a good dentist. For the fever, take tylenol.
